I have a Maytag Intellidry Dryer (front loading/electric) with an L shaped door. I took the front door off and discovered a broken belt. I ordered a new one but need help with installation. How do I put it in?

If not able to remove rear panel, you will need to start, like most models, take top cover off and hinge back to wall then remove frt cover including door as a whole assy. lift up drum put new belt on drum ( and position in same area as old belt,it will have marks on drum from where original belt was on drum) then put rest of belt over mtr pulley and then idler pulley, turn drum by hand to align belts and put it back together in reverse order

Why does my maytag dryer medc200xw turn off in 10 minutes and has no heat

Could be overheating. It just may need a good cleaning. and make sure the dryer vent is clear with no obstructions. You may need to take some panels off. Also may be the gas valve solenoid.

How do you install the belt on a Maytag Atlantis Dryer?

Ya gotta remove the front panel to get to the innards on this beast.
Take the door off. Opposite from the door hinges is 2 more screws that are used to hold the goalpost shaped front panel on there. Once them screws is out the panel pops off and you raise the top after removing the holddown hooks.

Then you gotta remove the front shroud and get the drum out. Give it a good cleaning. Oil the rollers.

Model #MDE8057AYW I need to know how to get the lid off so I can see if I need a new belt

1.Unplug the electrical cord of the Maytag electric dryer from the electrical outlet.
2.Open the dryer door and locate the four screws on the inside, unfastening the screws with a screwdriver.
3.Pull on the corners of the top front panel, rolling the corners forward to release the clips.
4.Tip the front panel straight out and slide it up until the panel comes loose of the clips.
5.Set the front panel aside and slide the top of the dryer forward.
6.Lift the top of the Maytag electric dryer up,tilting it back and resting it against the wall.

Our Maytag Intellidry PYE4558AYW dryer will not turn on

Check the door interlock switch. If it is defective, the machine will not start. If no help, then there may be trouble in the control panel.

Need help replacing dryer belt on Maytag MDE9306AYW

Hi, Remove the screws in the door opening. Two screws hold the door hinge but, the door will stay in place. Once you get the screws removed, the front panel will lift off. Once you get the front off, you will see the drum and what it will take to thread the belt around it. Make sure the rib side of the belt is touching the drum and the ribs need to set into the ribbed pulley on the motor. The idler puley is spring loaded and will need to be moved with one hand while you thread the belt with the other hand.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Neptune Intellidry dryer.

You need to do a continuity check on the dryer cord. Also manually reset the breakers and make sure you have power (both legs). After this and you still have trouble, do a continuity test on the door switch. The door switch will keep a dryer from operating. After that, you will need to check that your motor is being called to come on. Also check the capacitor and that it is reading the correct microfarad's with in 5%.

Replace dryer belt

Pull the front panel off, remove the top screws and tilt top back. Rout the new belt around drum at the old wear spot with the grooved side against the drum. Next remove the back access door and rout the belt around the idler pulley and motor pulley. There is only one way to do this and get proper tension on the belt.
Also, when you order the belt, ask if it has a belt routing diagram on the belt package.

Dryer Paddle Loose

Take the four screws, out of the door and remove it. The front of the dryer will fold down and lift off, you will be able to see in side the dryer. If you want to lift the top remove the screws that are now exposed. Along with the brackets the top will now lift up.

This should allow you to access the tumbler.

1999 maytag intellidry gas dryer

The groaning sound seems as if the belt is broaken and the motor is trying to spin a little too fast because it doesn't have a load on it. Take a look to see if the belt is broken and if so, you can purchase a replacement belt at Lowes for approximately $7.00.
