Commonly called the TalkAbout Basic. With the radio turned on hold in the monitor button. It should announce the current setting. Use the PTT button to change the setting. Press the monitor button to lock in your selection. When done shut the radio off and then turn it back on.

We are an event management company... Please tell me the price of Motorola Talkabout T6500 (7 Channels) 2-Way Radio, and how can i buy it. need 10 sets (5 pairs). does it needs any license??

The TalkAbout radios are license-free and operate on FRS/GMRS frequencies intended for family use. It is possible using them in a business situation may be outside of the license-free perimeters. You would need to check further on this through a licensing company or the FCC (www.fcc.gov)

Here's a link to the user guide for the T6500. http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/T65xx.pdf

Here's a link to the Motorola TalkAbout Store: http://www.store.motorola.com/2-Way-Radios-Mobile-Devices-Products/b/2265993011?ie=UTF8&title=2%20Way%20Radios The T6500 is not a current model, but the models shown would talk with it, and work similarly.

Here's a link to another vendor we have had success with http://www.wirelesspro.com/ They show the T6500 on their website for sale.

Best regards.

Motorola Talkabout 2 way radio model T9500

You might check your Qt filter to see if it is turned off. You can find the instructions on page 2 of the user manual.

Motorola T5700 Talkabout

Hello Player1985,

I don't think there is any easy way to check to see if the radios are stolen or not based on the serial number. Motorola may have some record of this assuming that the original owners reports the radios as stolen to them but most manufacturers do not track this information in my experience for these type of consumer radios. I don't know for sure whether Motorola would or would not have this information, but you certainly can check with them if it will make you feel better.

As far as what they are worth, similar new radios sell for around $80-90 per pair.

Hope that helps.
