These can be very tricky to diagnose. And unfortunately impossible with the information you have. To continue an diagnosis, I will need to know what model converter (VFD, frequency drive) you have on the compressor?

COMPRESSOR WON''T START

Possible failure of the compressor motor, failure of the main relay or the capacitor or there is fault in the pressure switch or the thermostat.
You will need to check the circuit to confirm , check the path of the main line and see the reason for the power loss to the compressor.
use a clamp testor to measure the current of the motor to confirm if the drain is high.

Unit will not stay cool. Is it a thermostat, compressor?

Small refrigeration units like this one like to fail to cool by developing a small leak and slowly
leaking refrigerant.
THERMOSTAT FAILURE CHECK:
A technician will check the thermostat using using a DMM (digital multimeter). But you can suspect the thermostat if you set the thermostat high and the compressor motor does not run,
then set thermostat low, and the compressor motor also doesn't run - in other words, the thermostat is failing to start the refrigerator's refrigeration system no matter what its setting - an obvious failure of the thermostat.
COMPRESSOR FAILURE CHECK:
If the compressor is dying, you would hear the compressor running almost constantly, but not
sounding quite right (uneven noise, clunking, tapping).
REFRIGERANT LEAK CHECK:
If you unit is low on refrigerant (due to a leak), the compressor motor will be running
almost constantly, but it will sound Ok.

Dewalt D55155-QS 220 volts can it convert to use 115 volts?

The short answer unfortunately is no. The internal motor that drives this compressor requires 220 and will not work properly with 110. Your only option would be to replace the motor with one compatible with 110. The cost of that would approximate a major portion of a replacement unit.

Sorry about the bad news.

Sears 5 h.p. air compressor model 919176850 convert to 110 volt

pull the cover where the wiring goes into the motor, usually there is a wiring diagram on the underside. If not, go to sears online to see if you can get the manual for it

Converting from 220 to 110 volts

Most brands of air comperssors are built to work on either 220 or 110 v. I believe that 220 v compressors are more efficient and draw less current and run cooler.
The more expensive compressors have a switch allowing for voltage selection. Still others will have a wiring diagram printed on the motor allowing voltage change by changing jumpers. Most all of the sears compressors that I have repaired were of single voltage with no other way to change except change motor. Do not worry however, you have the better motor. It is easier to convert the outlet plug to 220 by isolating the circuit and installing a 220 v breaker. enjoy
