The compressor has probably overheated. Leave the fridge unplugged for a few hours until it cools down. If you keep trying to use it, the compressor will fail again. They have a self resetting thermal cutout but these will fail if the compressor keeps overheating.

SOURCE: Subzero door left open - now acting strange

You have probably already figured this out, but if the door is left open there is a sensor that will turn the lights off to keep the fridge from overheating. After you close the door and let it sit with the lights off for 15 minutes or so, the sensor will cool and allow the lights back on. If the temperature reading in the window is ok and does not say "service" or "vacuum condenser", then you should have no more trouble.

SOURCE: SubZero fridge problems

Ice buildup on the back left wall is the sign of an evaporator leak. Not something you can fix yourself, at some point it is going to be completely out of gas, I would call for service now

SOURCE: subzero 590 shut off can't find reset button to turn back on fridge

There is no reset. There is an on/off but it doesn't trip. You should check the breakers at the breaker box and then call for service if the one for the refr isn't tripped

Subzero 532 refrig fan(& compressor) doesn't shut off

the higher the number on a fridge the warmer it is so setting it to 1 is close to 0C
when working on a fridge or freezer always turn it off at the wall
if the fridge is keep cold but not cold enough set it back to say 3
if the compressor is running and the back fins / wall is hot then the fridge is working
use a piece of paper between the door seal and the fridge edge to ensure that it is sticking to the fridge and sealing off properly

Subzero wolf. all the wedgies and fruits in bottom drawers is freezing...what do I DO? THANKS

try defrosting your fridge overnite with the doors open and fridge unplugged, then plug it back in.if it works fine. if it does it again in 1 or 2 weeks then you need a new defrost element. 2nd possibility the damper door may be sticking open or has gone bad altogether. Good luck

SubZero 532 frig lights out

There are two door switches one for fan and the other for the lights. With the compressor running, there are two so yu need to make sure it is the refrigerator and not the freezer, open the door and press the right switch and listen for a fan. The left should be your light switch and the problem is generally in the switch, on rare occasions there is a failure of bi-metal safety switch part number 4200850. One very rare occasions you may have a wiring proble. If you go to www.subzero.com there is a showroom locator tab on the top right corner, click it and you will go to a locator page which will get you to your local parts didtributor.
