If you have changed the batteries in your JI27719 talking scale and it is still not working, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Ensure the batteries are correctly installed: Double-check that you have inserted the batteries correctly in the scale. Make sure the positive (+) and negative (-) ends of the batteries align with the corresponding markings in the battery compartment.
2. Check the battery contacts: Sometimes, the battery contacts may get dirty or corroded, preventing proper electrical contact. Use a clean cloth or cotton swab to gently clean the battery contacts in the scale and ensure they are free of debris or corrosion.
3. Verify the battery quality: Ensure that the batteries you have inserted are fresh and of good quality. Low-quality or expired batteries may not provide sufficient power for the scale to function properly. Try using a different set of new batteries to see if that resolves the issue.
4. Reset the scale: Some scales have a reset button or a specific procedure to reset the device. Refer to the user manual or manufacturer's instructions to learn how to reset your particular model of the JI27719 scale. Resetting the scale can often resolve minor software glitches or calibration issues.
5. Test the scale on a different surface: Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Uneven or soft surfaces can affect the accuracy and functionality of the scale. Try using the scale on different surfaces to rule out any environmental factors that may be interfering with its operation.
6. Contact customer support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it is recommended to reach out to the customer support of the manufacturer or the place of purchase for further assistance. They will have specific knowledge about the JI27719 talking scale and can provide you with additional troubleshooting steps or initiate a repair or replacement if necessary.
Remember to provide them with details about the steps you've already taken and any error messages or unusual behavior you've observed from the scale. This will help them better understand the problem and provide appropriate support.
I hope this helps you get your JI27719 talking scale working again.
On the back of the scales under the Ozeri sticker, you will find the battery cover. Remove the cover and replace the two CR2032 batteries (model ZB13).
I had the same problem, I am not sure why but it seems like the circuits misfire when you change the batteries (perhaps a capacitor holding a charge or a diode stuck).
I got mine working again when I put the batteries in backwards (trying to discharge any capacitor that might be holding a small charge still) and then hit the power button with the batteries in backwards; then put the batteries in properly and hit power again.
please note that I am NOT an electronics professional and I have no idea if this is harmful to the scale or not, but it worked for me and the Polder scale is working as designed once I did the procedure. Hope it helps.
Remove the batteries and clean both ends of the batteries with a pencil eraser. Do the same with the contact points in the scale. This should help. Bathrooms are damp, you may want to set it elswhere for reliable use.
