You will need to replace the burner switches for the burners that are not functioning correctly. It also sounds like you have a problem with the OCU (oven control unit), this part is known to consumers as the clock. Do a Google search for the model number and find a supplier for the parts. All three of these parts will easily cost over $300 all together. Also the model number you listed in missing the last 2 letters. Locate the sticker which contains your model and serial number. This sticker will be on the oven frame when you open your bottom drawer.
I am looking for a manual to a Kenmore Self-cleaning Convection Oven. I bought it used it has selection for conv bake, conv roast, bake or broil. According to the website, my model number doesn't exist -- really? Everything works perfectly - I just want to understand the difference between "bake" - "Conv bake" and "Conv Roast"
a slow cooker just cooks slowly. a roaster oven however roasts food just like in a range oven. they can usually also bake and slow cook also. roasting cooks at a high heat while slow cookers are a lower heat for a longer time. roasters are great to use because the meat tastes really delicious and also the whole kitchen will not get boiling hot like with roasting in the oven.
Your range has the feature called auto recipe conversion, that means it will automatically adjust your settings to compensate for the changes when useing either convection modes, bake or roast, rest assured you turkey will turn out perfect with convection roast. Remember that raosting time will be slightly reduced also with convection roast bakeing. Have a wonderfull Thanksgiving and Holiday season. Good luck !
You said, Your Electrolux built in wall oven, lights and digital display work fine,
fan works fine, but the oven will not heat regardless of the mode
(broil, bake, convention roast, convection bake)
First, 1.What is the Model Number and the year of your wall oven? 2.Did the oven light up and display with any error codes? 3. Did you try to turn the breaker off for 5 minutes to see if this will reset the system?
Perhaps the heating element is failing and may need to be replaced. I will be able to better assist you when you reply with this information. Waiting your response. Huuum
First of all, do not use the oven thermometers from a grocery store. they can be off by 20 degrees or more. These directions may help you for electronically controlled ovens. The older manually controlled ovens have a small screw head in the center of the oven temperature knob that can be adjusted in usually 10 degree increments.
To Adjust the Thermostat
Touch the Bake and Broil Hi/Lo pads
at the same time for 3 seconds until the
display shows SF.
Touch the Bake pad. A two digit number
shows in the display.
Touch Bake once to decrease (-)
the oven temperature, or twice to
The oven temperature can be adjusted
up as much as 35°F. or down as much
as 35°F. Touch the number pads the
same way you read them. For example,
to change the oven temperature 15°F,
touch 1 and 5.
When you have made the adjustment,
touch the Start pad to go back to the
time of day display. Use your oven as
you would normally. NOTE: The thermostat adjustment for Baking will also affect Convection Baking or Convection Roasting.
