Lg 42lb5600 picture dark

The tv that I have is an LG 42LB5600-UZ, but that wasn't one of the choices. The problem is that the television turns on... has a picture and sound, and then in about 30 seconds, the screen goes black but the sound continues. It is the same on every channel. It worked fine last night, but not today.

check that all the led's are working, it only takes one not to work

look on the mainboard for capacitors that have swelled//good ones are flat..i bought x6 of these off ebay.it fixed my tv

Only way to find out is to take the panel apart and test the LED strips with a DC power supply

In most of the case, the problem is defective back lights LED strips inside of the panel.

The TCON board Or the LCD panel is Faulty. Can confirm by replacing the TCON board.

Try the Magic Focus option on the menu screen found under "Picture". Make sure the TV is on for 20 minutes before activating this option. It is also best to run this when the room is dark.

try using adobe photo shop...
