SOURCE: sky magic eye not working on hd

I work for Sky as an Engineer.

on your Sky HD remote:

service,
4,
0 1 select
4
make sure the power is turned ON

now go to the room you can not change the sky channels over with.
you should notice on the magic eye itself should now have a Red led light on it now. you should now be able to change the channel over just remember to press the blue sky button on the remote at the top otherwise this will not operate the sky box.

If not unplug this magic eye and try this directly into RF out 2 to make sure that its not the magic eye that is at fault. If it is working correctly then the light will appear.

Hope this helps

SOURCE: Stopped receiving sky on second tv - does my samsung need a reset

I install a lot of magic eyes etc.

You have checked that the magic eye lights up when it is connected directly into the sky box. So your eye is working correctly.

the next step I would take is with your sky remote in your main room. press SERVICES, 4, 0,1, SELECT go to RF settings and check the rf channel and make sure the power is on. Take a mental note of the channel number.

Now go into the room where the link is feeding. Turn on the TV and go to channel number 6 press your MENU button and then go down to setup. go across to manual install and then down to the channel number type in what you retrieved from you box ie rf channel and then type it in and STORE.

If you go into your main room and just put the normal tv guide on ie blue screen. then check that your getting the sky into the other room. IF you are then great it just needed tuning in. IF not I would remake the coax connectors. as there may be a bit of copper braid touching the centre core. once this is done your sky should be on all you need to do now is put the eye back on. Once you have done this the red light should appear on your magic eye. if not go to your main box and follow the first instructions I gave you and turn the power off on the RF and then save and then go back in and turn it back on and save.

Hope this sorts out your problem

Cheers

SOURCE: I am running a Sky + HD box through my television

Hi, without a manual to hand, i don't know, but my Panasonic had the same problem, but I found somewhere in the settings, I could change it, it has something to do with AV and Digital TV and hdmi setup, give it a check.

I hope this helps to some degree, but give us a shout if you require more help.

HITACHI 55HK6100U SMART TV REMOTE CONTROL CAUSES INTERFERENCE ON PICTURE

There is a post about this issue on the AVI blog. There are several people that have had the issue. No one claims a fix for it though. Seems to be related to HDMI cables and how close they are to the remote extender runs.

Hi all please help, I have an LG 32ld450 with no remote so I'm using my sky+hd remote. The problem I have is that I've tried to set up a magic eye in my room but I can't get off DTV to get the right...

Your TV has menu buttons on the side. When you go in to the menus then the normal thing is for the Volume and channel keys to act as Up/Down and Left/Right. I can't tell you which will do what function; you'll have to try it, but they should work. The TV also has an OK/Select/Enter button on it so you can activate a sub menu as you navigate through.

From the side menu it should be possible to access the tuning menu. Once in there you can set up the TV's analogue tuner to receive the Sky box RF2 out signal.

As for how you change between the analogue and DTV tuners, that could be a tougher nut to crack. There's a little trick with a Sky remote that allows one to program the Help key to bring up a TV's input menu:

On your Sky remote, press TV
Now hold down Green and Select together until the red LED flashes twice.
Now press the help key
Now press Select

Now, when you press TV and then the Help button the TV should display its input menu. Pressing help repeatedly will cycle through the inputs.

Of course,m the above only really helps if the TV lists the analogue and DTV tuners individually. If it doesn't, and there's now way of accessing it through the TV's menu navigation, then you might have to just bite the bullet and go to a supermarket and buy a cheap universal remote. Check it has the TV/Radio or TV/DTV function before you buy.

Help please purchase samsung smart tv ue37es6300 led hd tv connected it with magic eye to sky box in another room and picture is terrible much worse than tv we used before. Samsung say it is because it is...

Analog resolution is very low compared to what is possible on new HDTVs. Think of it as trying to spread a wallet sized picture out to the size of a billboard. You will see all the imperfections in the picture. The magic eye is not capable of sending a higher resolution picture. You need a different device to send the high resolution video.

Just installed a sky magic eye to my digital tv upstairs, works perfect. however I have now lost all my digital channels!!

Hi

If you have installed a sky magic eye, i am assuming you have taken a sky feed from the RF outlet of the back of the sky box to view sky in another room, if this is the case, this is an analogue feed which you would have to tune in manually to the second tv, this would suggest that you havent lost the digital signal you just have you second tv selected on analogue. On the assumption your system is connected like the following;

Sky box connections

Main aerial input
sky sat input
rf out to second tv

Hitachi TV - no signal on DTV since switchover

Hi It sounds like you need to re-tune your DVB-Tuner on your TV, NOT the old analogue one, it'll be in settings or setup, or installation and use the "First Time Install" option, because it clears all old channels and loads all fresh new ones! hope this helps!
