SOURCE: cannot delete events from Sentient N663HH 4 camera DVR system.
go to hard drive setup
you will need to overwrite over it.
go to overwrite on your set up and select yesto enable to overwrite harddrive when capacity is full

Just reduce the frame rate slightly on each camera or the record quality and it will increase the data retention period.

SOURCE: just installed a sentient 250gb
By default it goes to VGA port out of the DVR.
So you could hook up a pc monitor to it and use that. Once logged in you can change to tv out via the desktop menus.
It is also possible to hold down a button on the DVR (cannot remember which one sorry) at DVR power up to switch it to use tv out instead of vga.

Look for Totally tight cable connections. A break in the grounding causes the interference, usually. It only takes a slight loose connection to have issues.
