The orange light continuosly blinks
What model printer do you have and can you list the print cartridge?
Also have you selected on the onboard printer menu that you have inserted a new cartridge?
The orange flashing light indicates that you need to replace the ink cartridge thus its is not recognizing the cartridge you bought.Epson recommends the use of genuine Epson ink cartridges. The use of non-genuine ink may cause damage that is not covered by Epson's warranties, and under certain circumstances, may cause erratic printer behavior. Epson cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-genuine ink. The ink cartridge status may not be displayed when non-genuine ink is used. Having said this, these are the correct part number for your printer.
C90
Black T0731/T0911
Cyan T0732/T0912
Magenta T0733/T0913
Yellow T0734/T0914
In replacing the cartridge make sure you also remove the yellow tape before inserting it. When you finished replacing the cartridge and closed the cover, it will charge the ink automatically in about 2 minutes. The only way to check the new cartridge you have inserted is to use the software in checking the ink levels. Accessing the software depends on the OS that you use.

It is important to remember that Epson Stylus printers use a different cartridge for each color of ink (black, cyan, magenta, yellow, etc). A problem with one of the cartridges will render the printer useless until that exact cartridge is replaced. Make sure to check each cartridge individually to see if it is causing the recognition problem.

I have an Epson Worforce 645 for over a year and have been using NON EPSON INK CARTRIDGES without any issues, got them from http://ccs-digital dot com, except the last 5 days. I finally got the dreaded CANNOT RECOGNIZE CARTRIDGE, particularly with my Magenta. I finally figured out how to fix it. After turning on and off 245 times and standing on my head , bla bla bla, I took out the good old q tips and alcohol, and meticulously cleaned every contact for every color in the printer and on the cartridges themselves. I then inserted 1 by 1 and viola it recognized all colors and off i am printing again. I hope this helps you all.
