Yes, same problem and my oven won't work because of it. Mine is a gas range.

Same problem...mine is an electric doble oven

I have the same problem on a KitchenAid dual wall convection oven.  This must be a common problem; you can Google it all over the net.

Same issue. I was able to bring up an error code by pressing Start and Off simultaneously:

MOST RECENT CODE 0100 (Top line of display)

    AM71-0I73-EEKEO-068 (Third line)

    027-080 (Bottom line)

The Controller is asking you to set the probe temp because it thinks the probe is plugged in try to plug in your probe and remove it and see if it goes away if not the probe outlet is bad or if it flashes a code i will need to know that ..also you went into the Factory Version not the Error codes menu an error code would read like a F7 or F2 just an FYI

Controls lost mind -- keeps asking for probe temp

Houston, we have a problem... Your electronic relay control, (ERC), is shot, kaput, no bueno and must be replaced in order to correct your situation. The ERC part number is 3191106, and retails for ~305.00 dollars! (I kid you not). I guess now is the time you might consider replacement over repair. That's a good question. If you choose to proceed with the repair, repost and I'll help with details on how to do it.

Our KitchenAid Electric Range display panel keeps indicating to set probe temp (and beeps every time) when probe is not even plugged in oven. When placing the probe in the oven jack it feels very loose. ...

Hi

This means a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Kitchen aid KGRA 806 PSS The " probe temp" words and icon feature on our Kitchenaide KGRA 806 PSS freestanding gas stove/oven will suddenly start to beep and flash.

Hi,

This is a common issue and cannot be troubleshooted. The only way to fix this is to replace the temperature probe. The error will disappear and the range would start working fine.

Oven cooling fan keeps on spinning

Sounds like you have a oven probe or (if equipped) computer issue. From the looks of it, you dont have a computer on this model, so you probably have a thermostat stuck somewhere in there. The thermostat closes at the set temp, then opens when the unit cools. Sounds like this one is stuck in the closed position, allowing the fan to run all the time. You will have to look and see if you have a wiring diagram on the back of the unit, then find the fan wires and see which thermostat controls it. If no diagram, follow the wires out of the fan and see if on runs to a thermostat. Good luck and let me know if you need further info.

KitchenAid Gas Range Temperature Probe

We had the same problem, and we tricked it into running it's cycle be doing the following;

1. Wrap a wet paper towel around the probe, plug it in, and close the door. Then follow the temp. probe directions in the manual:
2. Set probe temp. at 130 degrees, then select a bake cycle. We selected convect bake.
3. Set oven temp for 275 degrees, but maybe any temp over the probe temp would work.
4. Then start. The cycle took 12 minutes to complete, and when it was finished, turn the oven off and then open the door and unplug the probe.
5. Now everything works fine.
