SOURCE: The remotes for my Viiper 5501 won't charge

There was an issue with these remotes when first manufactured. Try this, when initially charging the remote; plug the charger into the outlet then, plug it into the remote; remove, plug it in, remove; continue. It should take approximately six times before the remote says "charge" in the screen. If you repeat the process and the remote does not "wake up", replace it.

Remote went dead, tried charging won't charge.

Did you try removing the battery? with the battery removed push buttons then let it sit for a few minutes with no battery in it. Then reinstall the battery and see if it powers up, if not then let it sit over night with the battery removed then reinstall. If all that fails then I would say its a goner

My viper car starter will only work if i am standing directly in front of my vehicle

either the battery is too weak or you dropped it and antennae is messed up, or a transistor in the electronics is fried. I fix the remotes if you search ebay 7752 remote battery service. contact me there and I will look at it. If I cannot fix it, no charge just shipping.

My Viper remote won't turn on or charge.

The battery is probably dead. There is a guy on ebay that is replacing them. He fixed mine and it works great. The batteries dont last forever and you cannot just buy them they are a special type, also viper suggests you buy a new remote for $299 because they do not replace the batteries... how convenient. Hopefully that helps.

The Responder LC remote for my Viper 5901 will not charge. What can do I do to fix this? I have only had this system for less than 2 months.

Plug the charger into an outlet. Plug the charger into the remote, unplug the charger from the remote. Repeat until "charge" appears on screen of the remote. You may have to repeat the process approximately five times until charge appears. There was an issue with the batteries in the remotes having to be reset. If this does "fix" the issue, your problem may be with the charger itself. You can use any usb charger to charge the remote, i.e. phone car charger, computer, etc.
