My Yaesu FT-840 tuning knob turns, but the frequency does not change can you help?

Question edited for correct spelling of Yaesu and correct forming of model number.

There is a service manual here, but you would be better to take to a service centre unless you are very skilled with electronics. It has a Lithium backup battery, and I think I would change that at the outset.

I have a Yaesu FT-8900R, the Radio will shut down and turn back on when ptt is pushed. The Problem?

My guess is that the power supply you are using is not up to the task. You need one that will provide at least 15 amps at full output. Try setting your radio to a lower power setting and see what happens. You may find that you have to upgrade your power supply.

I need to know the torque settings on the head for a 94 jeep grand cherokee laredo

Assuming the motor is an inline six
1.Middle bolt is number 1.Clockwise torque to 22 f/lb
2.Same pattern to 45 f/lb
3. same pattern to 100 f/lb
Be sure to use loctite 592 to the threads and some head gasket sealer to both sides of the head gasket.
Hope this helps
