your freezer may be overheating due to the defrost for the freezer door, (mullan heater) is staying on. Most likely the door is not sealing properly. Also if it has a power saver switch on the side select it to that.
Most newer units have a brass inlet on the valve and a plastic outlet. Older modles have a plastic garder hose type fitting for inlet and same smaller plastic thread for outlet Some models have push in connectors called John Guess fittings the do not require threading.
Should operate 24 hours before putting anything in that is not already frozen. Check it again after it has run for 24 hours. Anytime you adjust the thermostat go one click at a time and wait 24 hours for it to stabilize. eric
I used to sell freezers.the green light tells you the mains is on and the freezer should work. The red light is to inform you the freezer is not low enough temperature, and the orange light is a fast freeze light to over ride the thermostat for use when introducing fresh food.It should not be used for prolonged periods as it may burn out the compressor although in your case you already have a problem and should seek advice or buy another freezer. If you get a cheap freezer thermometer it should confirm what I am saying.
I have a danby mini fridge and freezer and noticed the same problem. The temperature dial has NO NUMBERS ON IT! it just has a strip that goes from light to dark blue. That's it. I looked in the manual and it doesn't say anywhere which way is colder...it makes sense that the darker the blue the colder the temperature but why keep us guessing?
