I bought a 64GB micro sd card for my brand new gps/dash cam. Model 6630. The device will not accept the sd card. Why is it doing that? It's ok with a 2 GB, though.

Because the unit is not designed to work with a card that big

technically speaking 32 Gb is the limit but the only size Max that is available is 8Gb Type is MICRO SDHC and Sandisk or Kingston both are good brands PLS RATE ME FIXYA FOR HELP

You cant transfer your itunes on to it (legally). Itunes music is DRM protected. To put your itunes on your phone you could burn it to a CD, put that cd back into your computer and rip the music into windows media player (arguably legal) or you could get software that removes the DRM protection (illegal).

Have you got GB Discoverer on the card? The map should appear on the Map Information list in the Setup > Map area. Double check the placement of the map card. Also, in case you have not found it yet, there's wealth of information on the Oregon Wiki here: garminoregon.wikispaces.com

How do I access the media storage files on micro SD card

I use a SD/MicroSD to USB 2.0 adapter made by SoCal Trade, which came with my 64GB card when I bought it (e.g. amazon.com/dp/B00JAO8MMU/ ), but there are many others.

NB Put the MicroSDHC card in the adapter and THEN plug it into a USB port... i.e. do not plug the SD/SDHC or MicroSDHC/SDXC card into the adapter while the adapter is under power by the USB port. Hot plugging can damage SD/Micro/SDHC/SDXC cards, in my experience.

Another way is to attach the device to a computer with a USB adapter cord (be sure the device is 'unlocked' or the card may not be accessible).

Wont accept a new 64GB sd card

The XP10 works with SD cards, 2GB or smaller, and SDHC cards, 4GB to 32GB. It will not work with 64GB SDXC cards.

According to the Users Manual, the Uniden Guardian will only take up to a 32gb micro sd card. They also recommend that you format the cards every 4-6 weeks for optimum performance. Refer to page 36-37 in the manual for more info. Hope that helps!

You need to test the SD card to make sure it's reading OK. Next step if it is OK, reformat the card and copy the files from the original cd that came with the unit, on to the SD card and that should fix the problem. If the SD card is defective, just get a new 1 or 2 gig SD card and copy the files on that card. It's ALWAYS helpful to have an extra SD card as a backup. If you don't have the original cd, I have the original as well as the new N30 version software for the Nav-Cam 2007. Joe

Maximum SD card size for TomTom ONE XL

The XLS which is not that much different and supports 4Gb as used in mine which allows me to keep maps of the US,Canada, UK, and the whole of europe on it and swap at will. I bought a cheap generic one. I do kow that those cards that use micro sd can and do have problems so best to avoid the micro type unless your device takes those specifically

You need to buy a different kind. i just bought a 4G Microcenter brand and its doing the same thing.
i'd recommend a Sandisk M-2 microSD.
