I have a MPC NetFrame 620 server . It bagan to beep laud every two seconds. I opened the case to look to see if I could tell if one of the hard drives was failing. I looked around and then the system rebooted and would not restart. Instead of a beep every few seconds I now had a continous beep. The beep stops if I pull the controller card out. When I boot from another Windows cd it does not see any of the drives.

Micron Netframe 3620 server running server 2003 with raid drive has steady beeps at start up that never stops and says it can not find drive. Where do I start looking for problem?

on the hard drive carriers themselves there are LEDs that will be amber in color to indicate which drive has an issue. You can also install MegaRAID Storage Manager in Windows to view the status of the drives

Hi, i have a MPC Netframe 3610 server with windows 2000 server installed. now i want to install windows xp but i get the folllowing error: no disk found after boot from cd. why?

You will need to use the F2 option during the initial loading process to load RAID drivers for whatever RAID controller your hard drives are connected to. You caould probably get around it by installing an internal IDE hard drive and loading the OS to that too

I have purchased additional ram. How do i install it in our netframe 620?

Assuming the memory is compatible with the system, shut the server down and open the side panel. You will be able to see other RAM modules already installed near the CPU. Add the memory by pushing the module straight down into an empty slot until it clicks and the fingers on either side close in on it. Once you're finished adding the memory, close it back up and turn it on- if you get video, the process was successful

Beeping

Hi,

Un-installing and reinstalling the Memory Cards (RAM) from their slots may solve your problem. If they didn't installed properly that happens.
And please check the memory card (RAM) whether they are faulty or not. If there is faulty one, replace it with the new Memory Card. (It beeps if it is faulty or didn't installed properly when you power on the PC.)

Before opening the case please turn off the computer, unplug it from the electrical outlet, then touch the metal casing to eliminate any static charge. Refer to the owner's manual if necessary to determine how to open your particular PC case.

You can find the instructions on how to install PC Memory by clicking THIS LINK.

Hope this helps.
