I have a samsung Galaxy Luna, runing android 6.0.1. I want to format an SD card to internal storage. there is no option I only can format it to portable??? Why no choice?

SOURCE: Option to use SD card as usb not available

Ignore the manual..It directs you to drill down into the settings for the sd card and set it as mass storage..no such option exists in the menu.
Follow this:
plug in usb
go to NOTIFICATIONS
touch the notification in the list that refers to the usb having been connected..you will receive a prompt to "mount" the sd card.
now you can access it.
viola.

Did you hear a beep when SD card is inserted? Did you also try to hard reset the unit using the On/Off switch located at the bottom of the unit? Try with another SD card and see if the SD option is selectabe. If all have tried I suggest you to exchange for another unit. HTH.

I use a scan disk 2 or 4 gb and both work just fine.

SOURCE: Scan Disk Ultra 4 Computer can't read

Your laptop may be dirty or drive name is colliding with other drive letter that is why doesn't show up.
