To re install

Since you are using the USB-to-serial converter, you need to select the serial interface in the printer driver installation.

1. Uninstall the driver in Control Panel > Add or remove programs
2. Restart the computer
3. Install the printer driver again, this time select serial in the interface list
4. Set the properties for the serial port to 9600 for the data rate
5. Print a test page!

Dear Clark, it seems you have a lot of money when you suggest to waste a printer 240€ value.
The solution:
Link www.epson-pos.com and register, after that, follow this path:
Thermal line printers
Choose your model
Epson Advanced Printer Driver for TM Series (the first option for Windows7)
Install it, it Works properly.

1st You download Printer Driver. Epson TM Printer After this install the Printer driver in the system.
Installation of Printer Driver

• Go to the control panel
• Click on the System Icon
• Click on the Hardware Tab
• Click on the Device Manager then
• Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
• Right click on it and uninstall it.
• After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
• Driver installation Wizard start.
• Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
• Driver will be install.

install new printer

in control panel add new printer ......

check your bios settings, check whether the lpt port is set to bi-directional or ecp+epp try and see if that helps you.

unistall the epson driver.
reboot your system.
connect and turn on the printer.
reinstall the driver, v3.02, selecting for create a serial port.
choose the right setting os serial interface.
after install, reboot your system.

it works to me.

I had the same with XP .... I had my home inkjet (Parallel port) on LPT1. The Epson TM software and printer worked fine after removing the ink jet from LPT1 and re-installing the TM driver.
