My blackberry world edition fell in water quickly retrieved and put in dry rice for 2 days it turned on and worked but now its acting crazy turns on and off.... could it be the battery
Same trouble with my Curve a few months ago. You are likely going to have to get a replacement.
Once the damage is done, it's done. For future reference, the longer you can afford to let it dry out (a week or more even), the better chance it will work and keep working.

i would reccomend to put it in rice for 2 to 3 days and then try to turn it on the rice takes out the hummidity dont turn it on it might cause short circuit if it is not dry
It's an electronic device so it would be very difficult if it'll fell in water. first remove its shell and then get a hair dryer and turn it to low. carefully blow dry the insides of your phone. if you are using an iphone it would be best to consult a phone tech.
disassemble it as much as you can. leave it in a dry warm environment for about a week to dry out. put it back together in about a week. charge up the battery and power it up. cross your fingers it may work.
Quickly remove the battery and unplug the device, If possible, put it in a container or dry rice and let it set for a couple days. this should work, when it is dry remove from rice and see if it works... Do you have insurance?
After getting a phone wet, the best way to dry it out safely and quickly is to pull the battery and bury the phone in a bowl filled with (uncooked) rice for a day. The rice acts as a desiccant and remove any excess moisture.
If the phone still does not work correctly, it may be time to find a replacement.
If your BlackBerry gets covered in water, act fast and rationally, and you may be able to save your device.
1. DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON 2. Pull out the battery. 3. Please your device and battery into a bowl of uncooked rice to absorb any moisture. 4. Please it in a warm, dry place where it can receive direct sunlight. 5. Be patient. It is recommended that you leave it in there for at least 48 hours. 6. After 48 hours, put the battery back in and power on.
Ipon the ipods case up. then Put the ipod in a zip lock bag full of
uncooked raw white rice. seal the bag and leave it in there for 2 days.
rice absorbs water. it should dry it up.
dont try to plug the ipod in or it will fry the circuit and you will destroy it.
