Hello rsilva,
I will help you out.
Follow these steps to connect your ps2 to the internet
Turn off your ps2
Grab your ethernet cable
put one end of the cable into the corresponding port in the back of your ps2 (if you do not have it, it means you have the first version of the ps2 and have to buy the modem separately).
connect the other end of the cable in a free port in your router (or in the port of your broadband modem)
turn on your modem if it's not on already, and turn your router on as well if it wasn't on
turn on ps2
put in your playstation 2 network disc or a game that has internet game modes
(if you choose to do it with an internet-enabled game, then go to the online section in it)
make sure you have the Ps2 network adapter on your PS2. After that just simply connect and Ethernet cable to the back of the adapter. The other end of the cable goes to your router of course. Turn on router make sure you have a connection on your computer.( e.g. internet works) Then turn on your ps2, put in a game with online capabilities. Go to the online section of the game and create your account. And there you go, you should be connected. Keep in mind some ps2 online might not work they might of taken the servers done since PS3 is now primarily used online.
Which generation playstation are you referring to The PS2 or PS3. The PS2 would be connected with a composite cable by default i.e red white and yellow cable. Connect the cable to the corresponding input on the TV, match color codes. Switch to correct input by using your remote controller. Press the AV button and a list of inputs come's up.Select av1 or av2 and check if you get a picture. If you use a ps3 then same as before press AV button on remote and select appropriate option on screen HDMI,Component or Composite.
Make sure that you are connected to 'outputs' on the TV.
Make sure that you set the sound system to the correct input that corresponds with your cable.
Run a check on the sound system to make sure that the speakers are working and configured correctly using the test-tone facility.
check all the cables make sure you have everything in check or top shape this shouldnt be a problem though check the correct internet connection everything. Everything. or check to see if you have the correct cable if so then you can get a new one though you probably wouldnt want to spend money
I don't think it's a configuration problem at all. I do think that the set is not adjusting to the correct format.
Most Stores have 30 day return policy. If it's over 30 days then they may not take it back. If you bought it online, then, the return may be difficult.
If the return is not possible, then, contact Toshiba online and find a local Toshiba authorized servicer in your area.
Hope this helps.
