On backpack blowers, it is on the bar code label and stamped in the top of the cylinder or main crank case. All current serial numbers will be nine digits long and begin with the number 2, 3, 5 or 9.

The serial numbers on the FS130, HL90K,HT101 and BG55 would be on stickers if they are still there... The MS250 serial numbers are located on a 'flat' by the side of the exhaust and sprocket cover. (depending on the year of manafacture)

With these big boys, stihl has a decompression valve on the side of the manifold so it's easier to pull start. What you wanna do is spray some gum out into the plug hole then reinstall the plug, squirts some in the carb as well... If your unit starts up and runs for a few seconds and cuts out, your carburetor is done.

Basically it's like this, you can adjust the carburetor by the two needles on the carb. The H and the L... the low you adjust at flat idle and the high you adjust by keeping the throttle ppen

the fuel filter is blocked up check inside the feed tank for a few leafs floating about and blockages
run the unit from a can of petrol to rule out a fuel feed issue

How do I replace a fuel primer build on the Stihl BR600 blower/

Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug and ensure it can't come in contact with the spark plug. Removal of the spark plug wire removes any possibility that power can be supplied to the engine of the blower during the repair.

Remove the screws that hold the air filter cover in place. Remove the air filter cover and air filter. Remove the air filter housing from the side of the machine. Removal of these components allows you access to the primer bulb, fuel line and carburetor.

had same model, I took my hose (piece) and old broke clamp to ACE and got everything to fix...Even put a new fuel filter hose into gas tank for $ 15.00 less than ordering from factory.

I did a tune-up on a Stihl KM 56RC. Three hoses connected to the carb. Two I connected correctly. The third I could not find where it came from. Now the Trimmer runs at h high all the time. Tube showed only two hoses that run into the fie tank. Mine there was a long one. A short one that went into the tank and had the filter connected. and the third on top of the carb. I left this one unconnected.
