Think about it, if the farmer is up a watch tower he can see further. That's definitely an advantage.

But if he is up the watch tower and something happens to his sheep he will have to run all the way down to the bottom before he can deal with the situation. that has to be a disadvantage.

You and only you can decide of your own free will on the number of hours you will work that week. However, once you choose/decide how many hours you will work, your salary is calculated according to a set rule your boss and yourself had agreed to.
Of the two variables in the situation describing you weekly salary, the number x of hours worked is the independent variable. The weekly salary y is the dependent variable: the amount of money you get depends on/ is decided by the number of hours you worked.

Please use a dictionary to see the meaning of the verb to depend on, and the adjectives dependent, independent.

A quantity that can vary independently on any other quantity in the situation being studied. When a independent variable changes it value, the value of the dependent variable changes in accordance with the rule that links the two variables. As a worker, you can decide of your own free will to work 10 hours or 40 hours per week (the number of hours worked is the independent variable). Depending on the course of action you choose (10 or 40, or 0 hours), your weekly salary will vary according to the pay-formula.
weekly salary =(number of hours worked in the week)* (hourly rate)+ some constant.

it is one of our engineering book in syllabus ...
it is a very good book to study...

once you get through with the UNIX you can learn the LINUX very easily ...

but that books contains too much information if possible study that but it is too much hard ... but it is interesting to study ...

after that you take some book for LINUX ....

you can practice the commands of the UNIX by installing the LINUX ...
