This battery powered Pride mobility scooter was running with 10 year old batteries. Put in new batteries and now it won't run at all.
Pride Mobility Products
There are 8 different models of the Pride Go Go Scooter. They vary in number of fuses, size of fuses, and number of wheels among other things.
Your manual may indicate the particular model you have. If you no longer have the manual, there may be a model number on it that would assist in finding an online manual.

Sorry but your probably going to have to get this to a service technician. That is a big problem you have there. Most wiring is`nt even color co-ordinated so it`s not a matter of matching up colors. I`d call a professional,

SOURCE: I have a Pride Legnd..the scooter started loseing
hi, first you need to check the connections to the batteries then to the motor controller, and don't dismiss the speed pot, disconnect the speed pot and try a normal 5K pot inplace of it, if the scooters responds you find the problem just a case of getting the right speed pot. Check the freewheel switch, normally it located on the motor side.

SOURCE: I HAVE A RASCAL MOBILITY
I do not know of a Scooter graveyard, but I will look for one. I found a site that sells many different types of 24volt battery chargers. If you have a special port on the scooter and you still have your old charger you can cut off the end of the bad charger and wire it onto a new battery charger. Now as with most lead/acid battery's any charger with a built in volt/amp regulator will work.Your old charger spect's are for a 4amp max rating, Any constant 2.5amp or better should recharge your battery's overnight. I am sending you a link to a site called Battery Stuff.com where you can find a 24volt charger for as low as $89.oo, Now I understand this may be a bit out of your range, but a new battery charger for a laptop computer will run about $115.oo. So for a Heavy Duty scooter that is not to bad. Plus it may out last 2 sets of battery's. Now use this site as a reference and maybe you can find one you like local. Hope this helps Fixya up.
