SOURCE: DSL modem and Linksys Wireless Router not working together anymore
if i were to guess you are probably a PPPoE user with a dynamic IP address.
possible config
SOURCE: Cannot connect with ATT modem
Connect your pc to the ATT box. If online, check the ip address of the computer. If the ip address is 192.168.1.x, then you just have to change the router ip address. The wrt54g ip is 192.168.1.1, it may be having conflict with the ATT modem. Change the wrt54g ip to 192.168.2.1
Good Luck

One thing that isn't mentioned anywhere is the modem has to be in bridge mode. I was told this by a Linksys tech after doing all that was documented in the references article. I contacted my internet provider and they told me how to set the modem to bridge mode. This corrected the PPPoE error.

Reset the DSL Modem and make sure the modem is setup for your DSL account information. You might have to call up your ISP for that information to be added. If that was done prior then the Router has to have the same information user name @ your ISP.net or .com and password. for PPOE. Make sure the router has it MTU set to 1492 for DSL.
1. unplug the modem
2. unplug the router
3. between both of them wait 30 seconds
4. all PCs should not be on
5. plug in back the modem
6. plug in back the router
7. Turn one one PC
8. login to the router and make sure it connects to the internet
Since your using Gig Router make sure that the WAN is to 10 if you have 6Mbps plan 15 to 30mbp plan go to 100 for WAN.
If you're still having issues, then you need 3rd level service tech from your ISP to check the DSL back at the office side to see how that's connecting to your modem. If that checks out okay, then have line tech come out and check the DSL going into the house. If that checks out good then it could be the a problem with the new router you have there you have updated the firmware for it yet?
If you have then the modem could be the problem. These are the steps you need to take to trouble shoot the problem. Check all connections make sure they're plugged in correctly. Make sure all DSL filters are working correctly one bad filter can throw the DSL off. Check each phone connected to a filter to see if its clear.
