Is the lamp turning on, if not then there may be a problem with the inverter board. or the bulb is faulty, bulbs can become faulty in transit.

that means your lamp it is getting to the end of its life.
sometimes even if the lamp still good the TV will send you that message because that timer is closed to 5000 hours

What you can do is open the lamp door, closed again and the tv will ask you if you replaced it the lamp, and just say yes and that sign will go away

or just simple replace the lamp. 915P020010

Had similar problem. Thought it was the lamp. Examined old lamp but it appeared to be good. Ordered a new one anyway. Changed the lamp but the TV screen would not come on. It would make the usual noise as it was going to come on normally but it would cycle 3 times & then turn off. The LED lights in the front panel would indicate a defective lamp. Then read about the ballast. Changed the ballast & still same problem. Tried starting the TV without the lamp installed & noticed that the color wheel did not spin. Removed old color wheel & discovered it was broken. This appears to be the cause of all of my problems. I wish I new earlier of the test-turn on the TV without the lamp being installed & check to see if the color wheel is spinning. Would have save money on the lamp & ballast.

Sound /No picture- Have you replaced the Lamp?
If Not, First make sure fans are running when Tv is Turned on .Then if fans are OK ,Most common reason is the Lamp.
What is the Model # that is printed on back of TV?

SOURCE: mitsubishi wd 60735 dlp tv red lamp light

A common issue and it may be your problem is dust and dirt inside the unit---the set intakes air from the front and exhausts it out the rear==I have seen several of these sets where removing rear cover and taking stthe set outside and blowing it with a air compressor clears the issue.

Fans and other critical items that get clogged or coated with a moderate amount of dust will cause this issue.

I have a mitsubishi 73 wd-73642 it had sound and I have picture but its dark and when I turn it off it just blinks yellow off and on what could be wrong

The dim picture is an indication that the Xenon lamp is at the end of life. Check the menu and settings to determine if the lamp needs replacing. Generally, they work well for 4000 hours then begin to get dimmer, slowly with time. Replacing the lamp is simple. You tube has videos that will show you how. The lamp should be less than $100 and can be ordered on line. I recommend you clean the DLP heat sink and the fans while you're at it to prevent overheating and eventual failure of the DLP chip. I had to replace the one in my WD-65835 Mitsubishi. Good luck.

Your problem is that the DMD device is failing. You're in luck, though. Mitubishi has recently released a replacement DMD device in order to keep repair costs down for the consumer. Take your TV to an authorized Mitsubishi servicer for repairs.
