SOURCE: Whirlpool Duett Front load washer, DFL code door won't unlock?

Here are the steps to unlocking the door manually
1.Unplug machine
2.remove bottom panel
3.Reach up along the inside of the front panel and locate the botttom of the door latch assembly
4.Located on the bottom of the door latch assembly is a tear dropped shaped tab
5. Gently pull down on the tab about a 1/4 inch or until a click is heard.
6. You may now open the door.

This code means the door lock mechanism has failed or the central control unit has failed. Replace the door lock mech. first. This should fix the problem. (before replacing anything make sure there is no obstruction around the switch or in the switch.) After the machine has been unplugged it may fix itself. if not replace door lock mech.

SOURCE: CA error code on Calypso Washer

CA Cl Average current limit Or Instantaneous current limit If a status signal comes back from the motor controller that a current limit has been breached, the unit will return to standby mode and display either CA for average current limit trip or Cl for instantaneous current limit trip. Average current trip occurs if there is a 2 second average of current draw greater than 5.55 amps at the motor windings. Instantaneous current trip occurs if there is a spike of 26 amps instantly at the motor windings. This may signify problems with the drive motor, thermal protector, or motor controller. Over-loading the unit may cause this problem.

Meaning you had stuffed it full one time and then it was hard on the motor, you will have to change the drive motor most likely...

What does and F6 error code mean on a whirlpool duette front loading washing machine mean and how do I fix it?

Error code F06 means Drive motor tachometer error.
The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes.
Potential Causes
1/ Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor/Tachometer and the Motor ControlUnit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU)
2/ Check the Drive Motor
3/ Check the MCU
4/ Check the Wire Harness
Replace failed component or contact an authorized repair agent.

Ge WCVH6800 front load washer. Power was interrupted during washing cycle. Machine counts down 3.6 minutes, then goes off. How do you correctly reset cpu or test system

Here how you "test" the system: http://www.fixya.com/support/t9576766-found_small_part While in test mode "t02", you can reset all the error codes by holding down Start until it displays E00. If you find errors in the t02 test, make sure you write them down before clearing.

The washer is only 1.5 years old and has been working fine until a recent power outage. After the poer was restored, the spin cycle quit working. Any suggestions?

Reset the motor is what you must do.

To Reset the Inverter Board: Push the timer knob in so the washer is idle. Unplug the machine for one minute. Plug back in and raise and lower the lid six times within 12 seconds.

After resetting the inverter board, put the machine in a spin cycle and see if it runs. If not, check for a green blinking light on the inverter board. It will flash failure codes according to the picture above. If no light you probably have a blown fuse built into the neutral side of the harness on the white/red wire.

What does the code f17 mean? I've had it happen twice according to the mannual I cancel the wash cycle and select drain and spin. Why does this happen? I have a less than a year old front loader Kenmore...

F7

DRIVE MOTOR TACHOMETER ERROR

If the control is unable to properly detect motor speed, the machine shuts down.
If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door unlocks after 3 Minutes.

Possible Causes/Procedure

1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers and the power cord are removed.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check drive motor tachometer resistance. It should be approx. 115 ohms.
4. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU).
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor.
7. Check the drive motor for powered rotations.

Generally if everything checks good, you'll want to replace the MCU because it's not reading the motor correctly.####

Makes horrible noise during spin cycle only

The bearings have most likely gone bad. This is a very common problem with the front load washer when powder soap is used.

GE Adora front load washer overloaded now won't start

Washers - Resetting Electronic Controls on a Washer

If there is a pause in the washer cycle, the controls will lock up. The pause can occur because of a power failure or it was put in the test mode at the factory.

Also, if the washer was stopped before the cycle was complete or the consumer has pushed the stop/pause button to temporarily stop the cycle and the cycle is not reset. Over a period of 24 hours, the washer will pump out and spin, but will stay in the final spin.

To correct the situation, shut off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds or unplug the washer, then turn the timer knob around and back to any position other than final spin. Verify the water is turned on and restore power. This should resolve the issue.
