Call Lazar's in Chicago. 847-679-6146. They may not be able to provide the conversion kit to people outside the chicago area, but they may be able to fax you instructions on how to do it yourself.

Hello. Sadly the company went out of business. They made a conversion kit that was necessary to do what you want to do. IT is possible that you may be able to still get one. Try giving Childen's Land in San Diego, CA a call. I contacted Mory at 858-689-9998. He is very nice and very familiar with various series of Morigeau Lepine cribs. I got my conversion kit to convert to a full sized bed last weekend. http://www.childrensland.net/

I called the store in pittsburgh where we bought our crib (Babyland) - since Morigeau is out of business, they said i can either get some kind of generic metal frame adapter at any hardware store, or there is a store in chicago www.lazarsfurniture.com - they told me that the store will do wooden adapters to match the colors of the original crib. I contacted the store by email and they said they "no longer have any inventory for Morigeau", but I'm going to call them to talk with a person and see what they can do.

we are sooooo kicking ourselves for not having purchased the conversion kit when we got the crib itself. oh well...

We needed a cam, too and contacted the company that makes them in Mexico. Look on the cam and there is the company name, I think it's Indaux or something similar. Google them and you'll find their site and examples of the cam you need. Email them and let them know which one you need and they should be willing to sell you one for not that much. Good luck!

hi there. I have a Morgieau 2800 series crib and dresser also. The sides do NOT go down. you can raise or lower the mattress in the crib so be able to pick up the baby, but the sides do not move. i was in touch with a distributer in the country who gave me directions for putting the bed together in case of moves (i have been through one move with the crib) and will see if i can get in touch with them. this company is in the US whereas the makers are in Canada. feel free to email me so we can help each other:

I also had the same problem of finding the conversion kit for 5000 series crib in chocolate. I have been trying everywhere and finally I came across this baby furniture store in San Diego. I contacted them, drove up to San Diego from Orange County and got my conversion kit last weekend. You guys might want to give it a try. Mother's Choice One Stop Baby Shoppe has the rails to convert this. I got mine last week.
