Dvd player the hello screen stays on nothing else won't play

You need to change the region code in the user menu under dvd settings.

It won't play for one of two reasons:
1. There is something inside the DVD player, which keeps it from playing.
2. The DVD player's battery has run out of juice and can no longer play, meaning the player needs to be replaced.

The DVD laser pickup is at the end of life, replacement of assembly the only option, cheaper to replace the combo unit.

Check the settings. Refer to its user manual.

are you sure you have plugs and source input the same.the tv has several diff.inputs look on back what inputs you are using then go in menu move input to the same

change your tv to av1 or av2 or line in1 or line in 2 that should do it

Hello; There are many laws and rules controlling what you can watch on all DVD players, built into a TV or separate player. If you go buy an MGM or other dvd of some movie at Walmart , Best Buy ETC it should play in your DVD player, But if You or somebody " Burned a DVD" , It Likely won't play. If The DVD is an original store copy and still won't play, the DVD chassis must be replaced. BIG BUCKS. Just buy a Cheap DVD player and plug into the jacks on the back of the TV and save a TON of money. John

The cause of this is a dirty pickup laser, a DVDcleaning disk might be of help.

Hello lik2travl, What i would suggest doing is making sure all connections are pluged in, sometimes they wiggle out of place. If this is not the case please write back and i would gladly help.

Might be the type of movie - some of them are only able to play "G" ratings. Try this: click <play> 1234 <play> It will likely unlock the dvd that is in and will begin to play. You will have to do the 'code' each time, or there's an unlock program you can purchase.
