Question about Toshiba Computers & Internet

Open Question

Trying to get the back off of my Toshiba 50L1350U television in order to troubleshoot it.

Back won't come off even though all the screws are out (that I can see) and the stand is off. Seems like the only way to separate the back from the front is by prying it off...?

SOURCE: how to get pedestal off a toshiba 32 HL 67

Take out 5 HEX head screws and one black screw from jack pack cover. the pedestal will slide out from bottom. You do not need to remove jack pack cover as it is part of entire back panel.

SOURCE: tv stand screws

Check the kitchen drawer next to the fridge for the screws !!

When you get new screws, use lengths 1/2".. any longer and you might hit something inside.

Don't know why this is posted under IS-LCDTV26.. I would pull a screw from my 26" and measure it, but it's most likely different than your 42"

No back lights an black screen model 50l1350u

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.

Has sound ,no backlight, faint image

If you see a faint image, backlight is there, but its intensity is less. There are many reasons for this fault. From back-light inverter board to LCD panel should be checked for the fault. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

TOSHIBA 50L1350U LED TV WILL NOT TURN ON

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

How do you remove the back casing?

There are plastic tabs that hold the back in place in order to get the screws to align. Use a flat head screw driver or kithchen knife to pry the tabs apart and slip the cover off.

Hi, My dvd has got stuck in my hitachi hit19wdvbdvd player the eject button won't work.

unfortunately, if the drive is stuck, the only way to retrieve your disk would be to take the unit apart. Be careful though as this will void any warrenty. Make sure the set is switched off and unplugged before attempting this, be careful as even when switched off, some tvs can still hold a lot of voltage.
