Canon iP1800 not recognising cartridges

They may be new but are they genuine canon cartridges? There are loads of rubbish compatables out there. I bought magenta ones once and they turned out to be orange??

7 orange flashes of the alarm lamp means that FINE cartridge is not installed in the correct position. Confirm that the FINE Cartridges are installed in the appropriate positions.

Hi There, 5 orange light flashes and 1 green light means that the printer is not recognising the cartridege. Iam having the same problem with mine and Iam currently trying to find out why. I have installed the correct cartridge so I'm not sure why it isn't recognising it. but once i know i will let you know

depending on how many times the orange light flashes. if 4 flashes then the ink has run out. if 5 flashes then it can not recognise the ink cartridge, if 7 flashes then the ink is not installed properly.

First off, How many times does it flash organge before it goes to green?

two: out of paper
three: paper jam
four: Ink has run out
Five: FINE cartridge cannot be found
Seven: FINE Cart. not installed in correct position
Eight: Ink absorber almost full

Count how many times it flashes. Then get back to me

Remove all the cartridges then back again installed..if the orange light is always blinking.long press the cancel botton til the green light is steady..ok..

we had the same problem...please help!!!!
