I also had this problem. I had to go through the menu into the setup and then into tuner settings. There should be an option called tuner area. If you set it to area 1 it should start working. For some reason the sirius only works on area one. Hope that solces your problem

SOURCE: Sirius Tuner

Having the same problem with the vm9512. According to Sirius, the Universal SCC1 will work, however it requires an additional Jensen specific "translator" that I have yet to find on any site thus far. Also, I asked the folks at Jensen and they said the Sirius tuner is "supposed" to be available this summer. Hmmm, we'll see.

You can get a Windshield Mounting kit and Sirius Unit and use the FM Frequency Modualator that is Built in and just not use the XM.

My setting button on my alpine navi ine-z928hd is blacked out and won't let me access it. I unplugged it for a couple hours and tried the reset button, but no change. And there's not a remote.

It sounds like you're having a problem with your Alpine Navi INE-Z928HD. I suggest that you first try to download and install the latest firmware update for your device. If that doesn't resolve the issue, then you may need to contact Alpine's technical support team for further assistance.

Check the connections between the head unit and the XM tuner. If the connections are good check for power and ground.

How do I display the radio ID number, so that I can listen to Satellite radio?

Verify if the radio is "Satellite ready" or if it comes with the remote tuner unit. I believe you have to buy a separate tuner add-on and antenna in order to activate the satellite circuitry - THEN it will show you a radio ID. I think ONLY the Alpine comes with the tuner. I would call Crutchfield and they can tell you what all you need with that tuner to make it work with the satellite radio.

I have a Siriusconnect Home Tuner and an XM Ready Receiver. Will they work together? What do I need to make the connection from the 8-pin mini DIN on the Tuner to the XM connector on my Denon AVR-587?

Not gonna work, sorry to say. You need the little two-piece "XM Ready" tuner unit (with antenna) to plug into your XM Ready receiver. Sell the Sirius Connect Home Tuner and buy the XM unit. XM unit still available at some Best Buy stores.

Sirius vs. XM

Hello pdweidner,

The CN-NVD905U is fully satellite ready and is compatible with both Sirius and XM. To change services you will need to purchase and install a XM compatible tuner and antenna to replace the Sirius tuner and subscribe to XM service.

Best regards,
