This sounds like a faulty pcb and/or inlet valve. see links for prices.

meatballs77 - If you have warranty (the machine is less than 1 year old which yours is) or paid for extended cover then call hotpoint to replace... Hotpoint should be able to fix this - this should be free. call 0870 4422 510

Rememer parts are free up to five years - but there is a £90 callout fee after the first year.(unless you extend the full warranty)

SOURCE: Electrolux front load washer door won't

First try to reset the lock unplugged the power machine for a few (10) minutes (maybe release the interlock door switch). If this work, them its possible that you need door latch replacement.

To do it, turn off power, unplug at the mains. Drag the machine out so you can see the back. Remove the 2 screws that hold the top on, pull back or tap the top forward (depending on the model) to unclip it. Peer inside. You will see the door switch inside the chassis exactly in line with the door handle on the outside. See if you manually make the mechanism release, or if you have a stubby philips screwdriver, you can probably unscrew the switch complely.

Keep us updated.

How to disable the child lock on Electrolux washing machine EFLS617STT

How do I turn off the child lock on my Electrolux washing machine?
On earlier Electrolux models, this function should not have been enabled, but it can be disabled/enabled by simultaneously pressing the two buttons to the left of Start/Pause and holding them down for about 5 seconds, when the "padlock" symbol will illuminate (enabled) or extinguish (disabled).Feb 25, 2019

Ihave an electrolux ewf14742 when putting load of washing on it will go for a while then just stop time reverts back to starting time & door unlocks even though drum is full of water. No error message

I assume that your appliance has a door interlock with 4-contact.
This is "Instantaneous door interlock" and with this safety device, the door can be opened immediately after the end of the cycle.
Before pulses are sent to open the door, the PCB checks for the following conditions:
  • The drum must be stationary (no signal from the tachometric generator)
  • The water level must not be higher than the upper edge of the door
  • The temperature of the water must not be higher than 40 ° C.

I dont have a stop buttom

You're start/pause button should pause the cycle, cancell should completely cancell. After pressing the Start/Pause within a cycle, the door lock may require time to unlock as indicated by the lock light on the panel.

Started filling, made a loud noise, stopped filling immediately, door wouldn't open. I tried everything to get it to open. Running the spin cycle finally got the door open at the end of the cycle, though...

The washer drain the water if you put on spin. all electronically controlled washer won't unlock the door and or spin if there's water inside the water has to be drained out first. If the basket didn't move(no motor movement) and it finished the cycle, POSSIBLE problem is the motor control board. Kenmore elite he5t front loading washer door locks, unlocks, then locks again before beginning cycle

This is aself test procedure on the door locking mechanism . You will also hear a click, the drum will make a partial turn, and the door will unlock berore locking again. Once the door has locked a second time the washer will begin tumbling and adding water. The sensing process will continue until the correct amount of water is added to the load.

The washer was starting spin cycle. It stopped & started huming. The door won't unlock. It has water in it. unplugging hasn't changed anything.

If it has water in it it may not unlock the door, it depends on what type of door lock is fiited as it may be a pressure type. If you can get the outlet hose out and lower it below the level of the drum to drain the water that is in it then the door may open oncethe pressure is gone.

Model fwt645rhso will agitate but won't drain out, on spin cycle washer spins one way, stops goes back the other way, but water will not drain out. Does not rapidly spin on final cycle. Any...

There's an auxiliary switch in the door lock.switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle for the machine to advance to the spin cycle. The machine will NEVER advance to the spin cycle unless the auxiliary switch is activated as a safety feature to prevent the door from opening during a high-speed spin cycle that may result in physical injury. The drum tumbles back and forth while the machine control checks the auxiliary if activated but since it's not, the control will not command the motor speed control to spin the drum at high speed. These symptoms may indicate a faulty door lock/switch assembly and may need replacement. 1 month old electrolux FL IQ cuts off and won't restart

If it is only one month old then you should be covered by the warranty ??

To unlock the door place the drain hose in a bowl until the water comes out, if it wont then try blowing down the hose.

If you hear bubbles inside the machine then dump the hose back in the bowl

Once the water has all ran out switch the machine programmer to "off" and then try the door
