di you try calling GE @ 1800-ge-cares ? dont except much but my parts book only says :PRIVATE BRAND GE , MADE IN CHINA , NO PARTS ORDERED , NO PARTS , 0 IN STOCK ...........

try supper glue??? but dont hold your breth that this will work,,, it realy dont like hot wet places! i know this from first hand experience,,,
as its holding up my left lung!!!!!! and im not kidding you there?

Either the switch or the wire had a bit of a meltdown. The problem isn;t fixing it , it is getting the right switch. Delonchi is not that bad for support so they might be able to get the switch if you can replace it yourself. If you have to send it away then it may not be worth fixing it if you have to pay shipping etc.

I'd be tempted to bypass the switch and just unplug it like other kettles when it boils.
