Pressure problems can be several pressureline leaks

If an air pressure switch (pressostat) does not return replace the pressure switch a gray colored or white or black colored box with the powercables comin to and the power knob on it red black gay or other color. that is the problem itself in this case . the mechanic jumped not up it hangs , best is to replace the complete part.

If the compressor filling the tank and when its reached the pressure and it blow from out the safety valve then the pressostat its too high adjusted. there is a max pressure on the valve to read is it blow off below the max replace the safety valve.

Is your pressure is build up but it blow out the Pressure relief nipple its a part of the pressostat in most case , the your Non-return valve on the tank is dirty or by dirtable metal parts from the pressure line membrane parts .

strip the cyclinder off and inspect the valves if closing and opening also check to make sure you dont have a blown head gasket also on the tank from the pipe from the pump unit is a gold valve you need to open the end off this valve with the tank drained and turn the ruber around with the spring inside and replace this if still doesnt work get back to me bud

SOURCE: After starting the compressor, the tank does not

It could be one of three things. 1. The air intake could be dirty to the point that it cannot take in enough air volume with each cylinder stroke to be able compress it to 120. Try cleaning the air filter. 2. The reed valve that prevents the return of air from the tank to the compressor is not sealing well. This might be cleanable, but requires disassembly. 3. The cylinder itself has a poor seal giving you bad compression. This would require major surgery and parts, and is probably not worth fixing.

SOURCE: second time compressor tries to fill tank blows braker

The compressor pobably has a faulty unloader valve which bleeds the pressure off that is left in the cylinder when the compressor turns off . The unloader valve allows the compressor to start the next on cycle with the cylinder empty. Trying to start the compressor with the cylinder under pressure causes too much current draw and trip the circuit breaker.

SOURCE: Compressor initially starts up and fills tank to

There is a small valve on the pressure switch that should relieve the pressure between the compressor and tank check valve. Make sure when pressure switch trips, it engages the relief valve and it bleeds the air out. Sometimes the valve itself comes loose and is not engaged by the lever in the pressure switch.

Air leaking from tank back into compessor is indication that in-tank check valve is leaking. This condition will stress motor when trying to start. Test : With air in tank, unplug compressor from outlet and remove hose from compressor at checkvalve and test for leak (soapy water). If leaking drain air and remove checkvalve. Examine checkvalve for debris under seat (resurface seat or replace valve). Parts are at www.toolpartsdirect.com Good luck

Can I get 80 psi with dials set at 40 psi

this compressor should be able to fill your tires to 80 psi. Look for a pressure switch and adjust it so the motor shuts off at a higher pressure. Do not exceed 100 psi.

Sounds like the pressure regulator has gone bad. That controls how much PSI your system is aloud to have. If this fails it will not fill to max capacity. I would replace that and all will work just fine.

Compressor fills,drains off a little but won't

sounds like the pressure switch is fused shut, more than likely it needs to be replaced, most single stage pumps should shut off at 125 psi max.

It's trying to come on too soon. 60 PSI is too much pressure for it to run. Reset the pressure switch to kick in around 40 PSI. That will do it.

Mastercraft 2.0 hp air compressor will not build up over 25 psi

sounds like a bad or broken valves in the head. crankcase needs a vent which is sometimes a small hole drilled into the oil fill plug and will normally blow some air out the vent while it runs
