Pressure cookers these days are pretty much foolproof. You generally use a small amount of water in the cooker, put in the food to be cooked, attach the lid firmly, turn up the heat until steam escapes the pressure valve, reduce heat so a small amount escapes, cook until done. Cooking time is greatly reduced in a pressure cooker because the vapor pressure above the water makes the water boil at a temperature higher than the usual 212 degrees Fahrenheit .
You can do an internet search for pressure cookers in general, or yours in particular. You didn't mention if yours is stove top or plug-in. You should search for the type yours is.
