Suspect the top thread is not seated completely in the tension disk.

Remove the top thread from the machine.
ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning.
Verify the thread path is correct.

Test your machine.

You can also look in the troubleshooting section of the manual for what the E6 code means.

My thread keeps looping on bottom Have changed tension, needle rethreaded and changed bobbin nothing helps what am I doing wrong?

not sure if this will help you...Check Your Tension Settings. Looping underneath the fabric usually occurs when there is not enough tension in the needle thread to pull the bobbin thread. Sometimesthread buching can be caused by something as simple as the tension dial being inadvertently turned.

When trying to sew my thread is skipping stitches and then the i get a whole bunch of thread wound up together on the bottom. I have cleaned it out but it still wont work. Keep getting an E6 code.

change the needle
rethread the top thread & make sure the top thread doesn't come off the thread take up lever
make sure the bobbin is not warped
make sure there is no lint in the feed dog area
some needles & thread are not compatable-try this

Cut 6-8 inch piece of thread of the spool you are going to use for your project
Take the needle you are going to use for the project
& insert the thread thru the eye of the needle
& lift one end of the thread to a 45 degree angle
& if the needle is the right size for the thread it will slide down the thread
But if the needle hangs on the thread you need one size larger needle for the thread

The bottom thread is bunching up not keeping tight tried everything to change tension according to the manual I was hopeing I could fix my own problemit has never been serviced before

Make sure your UPPER thread is correctly threaded in the machine, put the UPPER thread tension dial to 5. you can also try it on 6, 7, etc., the higher the upper tension is set the less top thread will show on the bottom of the cloth.

Keeps "birdnesting", besides rethreading, how do I fix?

when you have bunching on the bottom, you have a problem with the top thread: no tension. (and visa versa) Make sure the thread runs through the tension discs, these discs are activated when you put the presser foot down, so you want to thread the machine with the foot up, also feel if there no burrs, hooks, or whatever, so your top thread comes smooth off the spool, no jerking.

Try a different bobbin. Look for one that is a little narrower. I had the same problem and changing to a narrower bobbin fixed it.
