I have an Intex pool pump my pool did not come with a skimmer basket 3 hoses but I have to plug holes to clean the filter because water runs out

That is how the inter pools are designed... the only other way is to lift the filter pump higher than water level.

How to clean a salt water system

I think this is metal scale. If you dont have your manual, consider asking your dealer for advice. If there is no dealer in your area, consider a mild acid wash.

If my pool has an algae problem now . can i convert to a saltwater filtration system w/o draining the pool ?

You need to rid the pool from algee. When you say saltwater filtration do you mean a chlorene generator? It generates chlorene from the sodium chloride that you maintain in pool. This still means you need chlorene to kill the algee. Shock the pool with chlorene shock. After allowing the pump filter to mix, let stand ovenight. Vacuum green slime from bottom to waste. Your pool supplier can help you . Kill the algee then start up chlorene generator.

The intex fp621 4000 pool pump does not seem to be filtering the water. the water comes in and right back out but filter doesnt even get dirty and water seems to go in dirty and come right back out dirty....

Try making sure filter is installed correctly. Push filter down onto foot ring. Install cartridge support on top of filter with gasket into filter and fingers up. If filter is not seated on top and bottom, debris in water will flow around the filter instead of being trapped in it.

My filter is returning green slime to the pool as fast as i vacumn it up.I can see it being pumped back in the pool. Why is my filter not working?

It could be that there is algae growing inside the tank of the filter. You may want to vacuum to waste to get the algae out of the pool and clean out the filter. If you have a Cartridge or DE filter, you will need to do an acid bath for the grids. Take the internal parts out of the filter and clean with bleach water, use bleach water on the tank also.

If you have a sand filter, you will need to empty out the sand, clean internal parts and tank with bleach water then fill with new sand.

Water loss in pool, but no hole in liner

The only problem is that ther is a leak in the liner. Generally at the bottom where a rock or debris has made a small hole. They can be patched but the pool will need to be drained. Call your local pool service company.
