LG French Door Model LFX 25960--Freezing in right crisper door
Model LFX25960SWIntermittant freezing of vegetables in right crisper drawer (onions, cabbage, celery, carrots). Temperature control set at "40" degrees (freezer at "0" degrees). Didn't notice the problem until after modification made to make refrigerator more energy effecient--replacement of HV board, wiring modification and something done on door or interor of refrigerator.Second problem and this started about two weeks after we got this unit. The display goes bizerk, refrigerator beeps three times and the compressor may or may not also start at the same time, usually during or right after I have dispensed ice cubes and chilled water. The whole display lights up, everything is "8"s except for room temp which "188". This lasts for three to ten minutes. Can't do anything with display, nothing works. I have noticed twice now that the compressor shuts off and display goes back to normal.
The fan in the freezer has been replaced. So far we have not had freezing in the right crisper drawer. The fan in the freezer has been replaced. So far we have not had freezing in the right crisper drawer.
The circuit board in the display panel in the door was replaced about a week ago. So far, so good, but only time will tell if the problem has been corrected. The circuit board in the display panel in the door was replaced about a week ago. I had a similar problem with my LFX25960ST (vegetables frozen despite the temperature set to 46 F). Before calling a service I completely defrosted the refrigerator. It helped! Apparently some ice residue blocked the gate or fan between the freezer and the top part.

I'm not sure if it was frozen coils or ice residue which locked the gate between the freezer and the fridge but it helped! There is a control on refrigerator that controls the amount of cold air that is directed from freezer to refrigerator section. Locate that control and lower the amount of cold air going into refrig.
This is an issue with the convection system in the refrigerator, while the cold air trapped withing the crisper drawer remains and the temperature of the moisture in the area drops below the freezing point, the water content acts as a cover and thereafter enables the vegetables to freeze. A slight rearrangement of the utensils within the refrigerator solved the problem
If you have had a DOE upgrade the fix is availiable from LG

In the mean time remove crisper dware and look on the back wall of the ref. you will see a dime sized hole on the center tower. Cover the hole with tape and reinstall crisper.
YES!!!!!!
Remove the bottom drawer.
In the back you will see a small dime sized hole.
The hole allows cold air to circulate around the crisper.
Plug the hole with tape or anything that will fit the hole.
Set temps back to say 36 in the ref. and 0 for the freezer.
Shut the air flow into the crispers if you can. If not, turn the refrigerator temperature warmer by just a few degrees. The air into the fridge from the freezer is channeled into the crispers.
You may have two mutually exclusive probems... one being the water dispenser doesn't dispense water... As you stated, the obvious remedy would be to replace your filter to see if that is restricting water flow.. secondly, your vegetable crisper is freezing vegetables... chances are that the inlet between the freezer compartment and that vegetable darwer is near there and the damper needs to be closed a bit... See if you can locate the cold air inlet vent and partially close the damper ... Hope that helps...
