USING AS A DUPLICATE MONITOR
Use HDMI port for TV and laptop and control monitor by function key on laptop
some TV's have vast number of video ports.
and not just HDMI,
NO TV stated and no PC stated
so there is no answer. possible at all. really. learn that my TV has even vga, dvi, hdmi and DP inputs. and composite video too.
and more.!
If provide TV and laptop model , I can guide correctly
Gateway wakes the Dead, 1 year later...
if both have hdmi buy a cable
if one does not, buy an adaptor
but no TV stated, no PC stated.!
no joy , only wild guessing.
what duplicate means is anyones guess
but if means
2 at same time, on the unstated Lenovo
and Lenovo is laptop, use the hot keys on the Fn key set for external monitor.
external, internal or both (choose)

Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the samsung TV and other end of the HDMI cable to your Laptop. change the input value to HDMI on your Samsung TV and your laptop screen will appear on your Samsung tv
the OP never once said HDMI.
why guess that?
I GUESS You be 1 TV man? only seen one ever.?
wow !
some have this on TV end, Samsung.
then on the PC , you use what works best for you, quality of video, tops list but if distances are far (60ft-20m), costs matter., as do other factors.
if using a laptop (unstated by OP) what you have there will be limited, to what you have there, 1 port, HDMI or DP or VGA is common.
10 years span.
the word USE and duplicate, confound the answers.
why?
well
he failed to say I have it all working now.
but I want the local screen (laptop is it?)
to work as the same time as the unstated cable TV cable , works at the same time.
on my laptop and endless others.
the hot key for external (hp example)
is Fn + F4 (the key has Screen Icon)
and toggles.
1-local
2-external vga/or HDMI
3- both (duplicate
4-and auto. mode.
so if he means that, then read your manual on how to use your Video port function keys,
the actual keys very by maker and model.
my guess he read his PC manual and doped it out. self
