Screen turns black, then there is a message If you can read this to Select, I hit Select but Fire TV seems to continue going thru its process as I get alternate blue screens with black, I briefly get a screen that shows the viewing options (TV shows, movies, etc) but Fire TV continues on with alternate blue and black screens.
Finally LED on Fire TV turns solid white and tv has blue screen.

Select the input channel for your Fire TV - Turn on your TV and select the input channel for the HDMI port you used to connect your Fire TV. You should then see a loading screen with the Amazon Fire TV logo 4.

If your display settings aren't set to automatic this can occur. Example: if you have set resolution to 1080i and are trying to play it on a display that has 1080p you will get a blank screen or no signal message. you will have to connect your PS3 to the last display you had an image on and change the "display setting" to "automatic" for your PS3 to work on all displays. when you choose a specific resolution to the "display settings" it will only work on that specific resolution. hope this helps.
