How do I get Amazon Fire TV resolution set so I get more than a blue screen?

Screen turns blue, if I disconnect I get "No Signal" message on blue screen; reconnect cable and "No Signal" message goes away. Pressing the Up and Rewind buttons for 5 seconds the power LED on Fire TV box turns yellow and starts pulsing. Screen turns black, then there is a message If you can read this to Select, I hit Select but Fire TV seems to continue going thru its process as I get alternate blue screens with black, I briefly get a screen that shows the viewing options (TV shows, movies, etc) but Fire TV continues on with alternate blue and black screens. Finally LED on Fire TV turns solid white and tv has blue screen. HELP!!!! I have repeated this process several times hoping I would hit the right combination but Nope!

Select the input channel for your Fire TV - Turn on your TV and select the input channel for the HDMI port you used to connect your Fire TV. You should then see a loading screen with the Amazon Fire TV logo 4.

Testimonial: "Have tried that. I get the logo then I get the blue screen."

How can I get my new Amazon fire tv stick to install? Every thing is plugged in correctly and powered up but the screen says it "Can't contact Amazon.com so try a new router or wireless network"

Check this first:
  • Connect your Amazon Fire TV device to one of these network or router types:
    • Open, WEP, WPA-PSK, and WPA2-PSK encrypted networks
    • B, G, and N routers on 2.4Ghz
    • A and N routers on 5Ghz
    • Hidden networks
  • Enable wireless connectivity on your Amazon Fire TV device. From the Home screen, select Settings > System > Wi-Fi.
  • Make sure you know your network password (if required). If you see a lock icon, a network password is required. This password is not your Amazon account password.
  • Make sure your Internet connection is not down. Restart your router and modem to solve most Wi-Fi network issues.
  • Do not place your wireless router or Amazon Fire TV device in a cabinet, as it impacts your Wi-Fi signal strength.
Also, try this for Fire TV Stick:
  • Use the included HDMI extender to optimize the location of your Fire TV Stick. The HDMI extender can improve your wireless connectivity by positioning your Fire TV Stick further from the TV.
  • Plug the power cord into the included power adapter and then into a wall outlet to ensure the device receives enough power for optimal performance.

Still having trouble?
  • Restart your Amazon Fire TV device. Disconnect the power cord from your Amazon Fire TV device for three seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
Tip: You can also restart your Amazon Fire TV device with your remote. Press and hold the Select button and the Play button at the same time until the Amazon Fire TV device restarts (about five seconds). Or go to Settings > System > Restart.

My screen stays blank when I turn on. Lights blue and green come on but screen stays blue

If your display settings aren't set to automatic this can occur. Example: if you have set resolution to 1080i and are trying to play it on a display that has 1080p you will get a blank screen or no signal message. you will have to connect your PS3 to the last display you had an image on and change the "display setting" to "automatic" for your PS3 to work on all displays. when you choose a specific resolution to the "display settings" it will only work on that specific resolution. hope this helps.
