I have changed my twin throttle controls but on testing the port control goes into reverse when pushed forward and forward when put into reverse. The starboard control works correctly ?

The first step would be to check the controller and the throttle. Make sure that the throttle is operating correctly and that the controller is sending power to the motor when calling for forward. If the controller and throttle check out then it is possible that the solenoid has failed and will need to be replaced.
Is it a twist throttle on the end of the handlebars or a thumb bar?
if it's a twist throttle on the end of a handlebar.....no, because the throttle will have to twist away from you if you put it on the left, so it's totally not practical. If it's a thumb bar, a general rewire of speed potentiometer behind the push bar for forward and reverse will change throttle over to the left push and reverse over to the right push.
Hi , if the scooter goes into reverse okay , it could a be throttle issue , or the forward logic( mosfet out put ) of the PG Drives controller has failed...
Sounds like the motor cables are in reverse at the controller. Check that the red is in the positive and the black wire is in the negative on the controller.
i think you mean forward using left hand, reverse using right hand, if so there should be 1 red and 1 black wire from the motor going to the motor controller if you switch these wires then your throttle should work the way you want but unless there is a speed control pot on the throttle enclosure you may also now run faster in reverse than forward
I would check the idle control solenoid first. it is mounted near the throttle body or on it. When engine rpm drops it pushes the throttle open to keep it running. It also keeps idle up when switching on the a/c and can be used as a quick check for the solenoid.
My Amigo RD was doing the same thing, I had to replaced to circuit board and that fixed the problem, don't replace the pot throttle, because I replace the throttle thinking that was the problem, but it wasn't. It was the circuit board.
