from our bosch manual: press and hold the light/filter button for 3 seconds. the water symbol is reset. the symbol stops flashing. the new filter cartridge is activated.

Does ANYTHING work? Sure it's plugged in, breaker not tripped and GFI plug not tripped?
Plug something else into the outlet to confirm that it works.
Unplug from wall for 30 minutes to reset Bosch to defaults.
Still malfunctioning? Main control board is faulty.

If there is power going to panel but the panel isn't working, then it should be replaced. If there is no power going to the control board, then trace the wiring and test all components with a voltmeter.

Assuming that you can control power to the dishwasher from your kitchen panel switches, hold down the power on switch on the front panel of the dishwasher and recycle power (switch off and on) at the kitchen panel switch.

This will reset the dishwasher.

It means it is time to change the water filter. You can hold the button down for a while and it will reset whether you change the filter or not.
