If your phone is STUCK in Safe Mode though and restarting it or pulling the battery doesn't seem to help at all then it could be a hardware issue like a problematic volume key (key might be stuck)

Since it is a Toshiba Tecra if you are not worried about losing data on the laptop you can try turning on the laptop and start pressing the zero key. It should give you the option to restore your laptop if you haven't deleted the restore partition on the laptop.

SOURCE: STOP: 0x00000034 blue screen error...

Hi,

This is a cache manager error or a missing DLL file error. This might have heppend as a result of some hardware of software changes that you might have made recently. You can either install the removed drivers once again or need to run a repair reinstall of windows to get the curropt dll files working again.

How do you get out of safe mode?

Safe mode is normally manually activated by pressing F8 at startup. However if it is stuck, you can try disabling it from the system configuration menu:

If using Windows XP:
1. Start the machine and boot to the Windows desktop.
2. Click Start > Run
3. In the dialog box, type msconfig and press "Enter". This will bring up the configuration window.
4. Click on the "Boot" tab and in the lower left corner under "Boot Options", untick "Safe Mode".
5. Restart the computer.

If using Windows Vista/7:
1. Follow the same instructions as above, however when you click Start, just type msconfig in the search box at the bottom of the Start Menu and press "Enter".

I let the HP asst. Install a bios update and the install is stuck at 40%. What can I do to get out of the update?

Turn on the computer and begin hitting the "F8" key when you see the BIOS screen.

This will take you to the Safe Mode menu.

Use the arrow keys to highlight "Safe Mode," then hit "Enter" on your keyboard.

This will boot your computer in Safe Mode, a minimalist manner of operating Windows that runs only essential Windows files.

If using Windows XP in Safe Mode, click the "Start" button and then click "Run." In the box that pops up, type "msconfig" and hit "Enter."

If using Windows Vista or Windows 7, click the Windows logo in the bottom left corner of the screen, type "msconfig" in the search field and then hit "Enter."

This will open the System Configuration Utility.

In the System Configuration Utility box, click the "Services" tab, check the box that reads, "Hide All Microsoft Services," click "Disable All" and then click "Apply."

In the System Configuration Utility box, click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and then click "Apply." Next, click the "Close" box.

A box will pop up that prompts you to restart your computer.

Select "Restart" and let the computer restart itself, allowing it to boot to Windows normally.

If the computer still stalls when trying to boot to Windows, restart the computer and boot to Safe Mode again.

Run your antivirus program in Safe Mode, deleting any files that are flagged as viruses, spyware or malware. Restart the computer and boot to Windows normally

hope this helps

Jum error 102

Hi,

This issue needs to be corrected by reloading the device firmware which requires Desktop Manager. Your only other options are to try removing the battery for a few minutes or try booting in safe mode. To turn on safe mode, complete the following steps:

1. Remove and re-insert the device battery.
2. When the LED light goes out, press and hold the Escape key as the device is loading.
3. When the dialog box appears, click OK.

Hi,

If your system is stuck on the Windows Logo Screen you can try to boot using Safe Mode by restarting the computer and tapping F8 while it is booting. When it successfully load the Operating system you can disable some startups on the machine. Click on Start then click on RUN, type MSCONFIG on the dialog box located on the lower left of your screen. Then Click on the SERVICES tab. Put a tick on Hide All Microsoft Services then click on Disable All button. Restart the computer see if it will works. If not then you need to Reinstall the Operating System to your machine.

HTC phone in safe mode, can this be fixed

Hi, When you're done troubleshooting problems with your HTC Hero in Safe Mode,
you will need to go through steps to boot it regularly and remove it from Safe Mode.

To do so, turn off the phone. Then while its off, hold the Menu and Power until the phone boots. The Hero should then no longer be in Safe Mode

Start the phone and uninstall apps in safe mode

If your phone keeps restarting, or it starts up but does not display the Home screen, a recently installed application may be causing the issue.

When this happens, try starting up your phone in safe mode. In this mode, your phone does not run any third-party applications. Safe mode allows you to start up your phone successfully so you can uninstall any applications that you have recently installed or which may be stopping your phone from starting up correctly.

To start up your phone in safe mode, press the END CALL/POWER button and hold the MENU button until your phone restarts and displays the Home Screen. You will see "Safe mode" displayed at the bottom-left side of your phone screen. When your phone is in safe mode, follow the same steps in Removing installed apps to uninstall the third-party applications.

After you finish uninstalling the applications, restart your phone and check if the issue is resolved.

Hope it helped.

Laptop is stuck in safe mode Acer

I faced the same problem with my laptop. I tried several methods. But none of them worked. But finally when I tied the following procedure it worked.

The following instructions work on a computer running Windows XPmag-glass_10x10.gif only, this is assuming that your laptop has XP installed on it. Use this only if your computer wont come out of safe mode by restarting it.

Go to Start > Run and type "msconfig" in the dialog box that comes up. Press Enter or OK and the System Configuration Utility box should come up. Click on the "BOOT.INI" tab. Down in the bottom left corner of the window under where it says Boot Options there will be several checkboxes. Make sure that the /SAFEBOOT box DOES NOT have a check in the box. When it is unchecked restart your computer and you should be out of safe mode.
