Might be frozen try removing the motor assembly and use a hair dryer on the motor this may take a while before it frees up

take the bucket out of the unit to make sure the bucket is not frozen stuck. then it it still does not turn the motor, i would guess the dispenser motor is locked up and needs replaced.

Try removing the freezer light bulb completely.

If you cant manually turn your auger motor, it may be bad. Does it dispense solid ice or no ice at all? Another thing may be your control panel. That could be bad too, it's the one sending juice to both your solenoid and auger motor.

You may have a frozen (literally) auger motor. If you warm it up and dry it out, it will run, but it will freeze up again. If this is the case, you will have to replace the auger motor and install a motor sheild over it.

I have the same problem with the same unit. I removed the ice tray and held the open door cut-off switch closed. I then pressed the lever to dispense ice. I hear a humm like power is getting to the motor but the motor is not turning. I hear a click like the selonid is engaging. I'm having to assume at this point it's the motor and I am going to go ahead and order a motor. I've found a motor for the unit at partselect.com for $65.54. Hope this helps you.

sounds like either the dispenser motor is bad or the dispenser yoke is stripped. remove the bucket from the freezer. you will see a u shaped yoke in the rear of the disp area. this should be fairly hard to turn by hand if it turns easily then the motor gears are bad if the yoke slips on the motor shaft then you have a stripped yoke. hope that helps. peyton...

You have one of three things wrong. The auger motor is frozen up, the ice bucket is broken or you need to dump out any ice, run warm water through the entire ice bucket, dry it out and try again with fresh cubes. My guess is the auger motor is frozen. You can buy a vinyl boot that covers the auger motor to prevent moisture buildup and freezing from GE Parts at 1-800-626-2002

could be frozen auger motor, try turning motor by hand.
