Toshiba RCK-Y5M Rice Cooker Does not come on.

I have checked the power cord and the wires going into the board that go to a 12vdc coil.

The cord is good and has power, also power to the blk square enclosed coil which is an Omron G5CE-1 10A 30VDC Coil 12VDC, but not sure how to check this one.

I would think something on this circuit board is no longer good, but would like to find the parts to fix it if I could find the parts manual for this Japanese model. Can anyone help me fix or find parts or manual.

Cheers

Bill

I am new to the rice cooker scene, but, I'll bet that I know exactly what's wrong with your cooker.
Are you handy with a screwdriver?
Can you open it up?

If so, I might be able to talk you through fixin' it!!!

SOURCE: I have a Sanyo EC 23 10-Cup Rice Cooker which I

Hi,

I have the electrical cable, you are looking for.

My favorite Sanyo EC-23 rice cooker's start button broke when it fell down. (I am looking for a similar cooker with OFF switch.) So, I can easily send my electrical cord for no cost (pl. pay only mailing cost $1 or $2, I need to find out).

Why I am going through this trouble? 1. I liked the cooker. I am still looking for a similar one. 2. This is the best for the environment (reusability). I like this web site for the same reason. I liked the cooker a lot and was useful for more than cooking rice. It will be nice if someone can use the parts.

I live in MA. I can go to Natick Mall, Watertown mall, cambridge Galleria in a public place next to security if you like, to pick up in person Mon-Fri between 8:30 am and 2:00 pm.

Power cord

You can find replacement cords for many counter top appliances at most appliance and building supply stores. Try Ace, Home Depot, Lowes. Take the cooker with you to make sure you are getting the correct cord.
