You need to log in the same kindle account and the purchased books will be synced automatically. If this doesn't work, you can convert the kindle books to epub file and transfer to ipad. You need to connect your Kindle device to computer and then convert the books in Kindle. After that, you can transfer the books to ipad with iTunes or iTransfer. If you have setup an account to purchase the e-book then you own the book. When you want to read any book you've purchased you can sign into your account & all your purchased books will be there unless you've deleted the book from your account, otherwise you will have to purchase it again.

Amazon customer services is very good. If the books were just recently purchased, you can probably return them by logging into your account, going to Orders and initiating a return. If this is not what you want, I would contact them and explain the problem more clearly.

not very experienced with ipad but you should have a place(icon) that might say something like books, library. Tap that and a list should come up showing books you purchased. That's how my kindle fire works anyway.

If you login to amazon.com and put your pointer over my account and then click on my orders it will show you everything you have bought.

Try rebooting your Kindle by holding the 'on' switch down for 20 seconds then letting go - it should 'reboot' by itself. You may have to do it a couple of times to reset your Kindle.
