SOURCE: No Sound

There should be a fuse on the back of the radio. It needs to be checked.

Check to see if the acc fuse on the car is blown or refer to the following.

I was wondering does the Alpine CDM-7874 have any code. I just bought a car with this system in it and it had a dead battery and the stereo is not working

There should be no code. If you can try to see if you can check to see if power is getting to the red and yellow wires on the back of the radio. If there is a reset switch, try pressing that. It should be a small depression about the size of a pencil tip on the face or a hole with a red switch behind the face on the subpanel.

Hooked up speakers(subwoofers) but i can only hear them wen the (radio mode) is on, not cd mode

You hooked up the wrong blue wire. There should be two, one for the power antenna and one for the amplifier turn on. Use the other one, as you have the power antenna wire hooked to your amp. That wire is only active when you are listening to the radio, not using the CD player or any other aux input if you have any. Common beginner mistake, it's happened to us all.

Alpine CDE-9845, no audio from cd's either normal or mp3. Tuner works fine. Where to troubleshoot?

You have the wrong blue wire connected.
Your power antenna wire is hooked to the amp remote wire and vice versa.
Your radio thinks the tuner is off - and is dropping the signal thru the power antenna wire - and turning off your amplifer.
Switch the 2 blue wires in your install - and you'll be all set.

Alpine CDM 7874 won't play rest of CD after track 1.

It could be a bad burn or an issue with the receiver. Try re-burning the CD and see if that helps.

Power wire touched the outer case and i believe it shorted it out

There should be a fuse on the back of the head unit. Make sure to also check the vehicle's radio fuse.

Connect alpine 7874 to alpine powered sub

You need to run the RCA cables from the head unit to the sub for the audio signal, and possibly a turn on wire (the blue one on the back of the head unit), unless the sub has an automatic power feature.

The sub also needs power and ground wires attached, but those do not connect to the head unit. Power should be run directly from the battery with an inline fuse, and ground should go to the nearest good ground point (Trunk latch, seat bolt, etc).
