Lexmark printer wifi not working

Make sure that the firmware of your printer is up to date. Just go to http://bit.ly/ghfW8H to download the firmware update.

If the WiFi light on your printer is orange, re-install the software and connect your printer to your network.

If the WiFi light is green, powercycle your printer, router and computer. After rebooting, assign a static IP on the printer.

Lexmark X4550 Scanner not working

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

  1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer from your computer.
  2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
  3. Delete the Lexmark print object.
  4. Reboot computer.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box where the power cord is plugged into on the back of the printer, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to the computer.
  7. Wait until your computer fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

My wi fi orange light is blinking on my lexmark x4650 printer

The blinking WiFi light on your printer indicates either your printer is trying to communicate with your wireless network or your printer is not connected at all. For a quick fix, try to disconnect your printer from the power outlet. Power cycle your router and reboot your computer. Then, power on your router first, then your printer and lastly your computer. Check the WiFi light on your printer. If it goes to a solid green, that means you are connected back in your network. If not, you may reset your printer's wireless network adapter to its default settings. From the printer operator panel, press the Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Adapter to Default. The WiFi light on your printer will momentarily turn off then back on solid orange. Then try to run the Lexmark Wireless Setup Utility on your computer to reconfigure your printer to connect to your wireless network.
I hope this helps.

Hello.

I'm trying to determine which light you are referring to. Are you referring to the front WiFi light, which blinks orange or steady green ?

If not WiFi, please be more specific as to which light.

Hope this helps.

Try to reset the printer's wireless network settings. On the printer operator panel, press Setup button > Network Setup > Wireless Setup > Reset Network Adapter > press check to confirm.
Re-launch the Lexmark Wireless Setup Utility to connect the printer to your network. If you have a firewall enabled, make sure to allow full access to all Lexmark software and printer communication processes in the program rules/permissions for your firewall. Also, place your printer where it receives excellent wireless signal quality and away from other electronic devices which can cause wireless interferences (e.g. cordless phones, microwave ovens, baby monitors, garage door openers, and other wireless electronics).

New installation- can't figure out how to make wifi printer operate

You hadn't indicated that you have the installation software. If you have, just insert the CD and follow the instructions. They are pretty clear. The Wifi light is orange and then turns green when complete.
