I am trying to find how to replace the battery and what is the description number of the battery for a Tork DTS 200B timer.

I have a Tork DTS 200B timer that has been in service for 11 years. After a recent power outage (which occurs several times a year) the current time must be reset. This has not been required after other power outages. I suspect there is a battery to maintain the actual time. This timer is used in conjunction with the weekly test of a town weather warning siren.

SOURCE: Microwave runs but does not heat.

Generally, the most common causes of a failure to heat are:

- bad door switches or door switch mounts
- loose connection at the magnetron
- problem or loose conneciton on the control unit circuit board
- bad magnetron or other high voltage part

If you or a friend decide to look into it, we have critical safety information, info on door switch diagnosis and replacement, and

SOURCE: PDP4247 Akai. Cablevision powered.

The tv goes into standby. 2 possible causes:
1 - the power source has aged and the voltage it delivers to the other components of the tv (in particular the control processor) is no longer stable: if the voltage drops below a certain level the processor just shuts down, putting the tv in standby. The power source will have to be checked and the aged components replaced (it's most likely the capacitors).
2 - there is a power fluctuation on the mains power line - the others don't shut down because they have a lower power necessity and they are able to coup with that.. The only way to test and fix that is to run the tv thru a UPS.

SOURCE: I have an APC XS1300. One year old. Very few

Mines, two or three years old and doing the exact same thing, you ever figure out what happen or how to fix it? I took the battery out and it reads 16 volts. I put a 2 amp load (fan) on it and it pulls fine, so I'm reluctant to buy a new battery pack for it now.

Tork RZ307 Automatic Lighting Timer . . .

Edited 'Trok' to 'Tork'.
Then with the right maker, we can find the Tork Timer Category.
Also added (what it is).

It is new, it is under warranty, take it back for free replacement. If you fiddle with it, you void that warranty/ The only thing you can try is cutting the power at the breaker for 5 minutes. If that doesn't work, disconnect it for 3 days as it has a 2 day backup. See if there is a battery compartment with a dead bulging capacitor in it.

Power Outage Backup:
Permanent schedule retention with memory module.
Supercapacitor provides 2 days of real time backup.

How do i program a tork dtu40 timer

1) Copy following link for programming manual and wiring Tork DTU40 40amp timer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-Tork-DTU40-timer.html

2) The timer mechanism is old Intermatic/Grasslin/GE discontinued model, and then newly re-minted by Tork in 2012. Timer has 1 year limited warranty against defects in workmanship. This timer is protected from surge by the reset feature, but can burn out in heavy surge event. Non-replaceable Internal rechargeable battery retains programming until timer is reset. Always reset new timer to delete trace memories.

3) This timer can be wired many different ways, and timer automatically detects voltage, so there are no dip switches to set. Timer must be wired before power is turned on. Do not spark-test across terminals.

Tork model dts200a/dzs200a shows no display and has stopped working. any Suggesqtions?

Tork DTS200a/DZS200a is 2-channel digital timer with 365 day programming and astronomic capability.
2-channel means that timer can control two different circuits with different program schedule applied to each circuit.

1) Timer has 'snap-in non-rechargeable 9-volt lithium battery'
Replace with ordinary 9 volt battery
Battery location is not apparent from image of product, and I don't own this particular timer line.
Add a comment and say where battery is located.

2) Programming is stored indefinitely in memory chip even if battery goes dead.
Current time might have to be reset shown in manual page 3.
Memory can be cleared using procedure outlined in manual starting page 13.

3) If timer function is not restored, then timer might have gone bad.
Contact NSI:

Many timers and other electronics are not protected from power surge.
Lightning strikes, electrical storms, and simple power outage can knock out electronic timers, and water heaters, water softener, treadmill, etc.
1-event Surge protectors can be installed in main panel to help protect circuits and electronics.

Can i put 120 volts to the dry contacts on a tork dts400b timer?

1) DTS wiring shows on link below:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/1TORK.DTS400A.DZS400A.WIRING.pdf
Timer appears on page below:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Tork-Digital-timers-and-manuals.html#DTS

2) Tork DTS400B is 4 channel timer, so you can control 4 different Loads with different programming for each Load.

3) I am not 100% certain what you are asking.
Timer can be wired for 120V operation.
Clock motor has separate wiring from Load wiring.

4) Clock motor is shown in wiring diagram as 'Timer supply'
Timer supply is on lower row of terminals.
120 Volt Hot connects to screw terminal identified as 120
120V Neutral connects to screw terminal identified as N
Clock motor wiring does not pass to the Load or channel terminals.

5) Load terminals are not fed by 120V connection to Timer supply.
Each load is wired separately.
For example lets say Load 1 is channel 1 or CH1.
Hot to CH1 connects to terminal C.
Neutral to CH1 connects to terminal NO, or to NC terminal.

6) Terminal NO normally open turns ON when timer turns ON
Terminals NC is normally closed is ON full time, except when timer tuns ON. So NC turns OFF when timer turns ON.

1) Add a comment with model numbers for each timer, and voltage you are working with, and I will post the conversion wiring.
