I have a Seiki SE551GS TV that is only 4 years old. 4 days ago the picture and sound went out while watching tv. I can turn on the TV as the red standby light changes to blue, but after that there is no picture or sound. I tried the Flashlight test, but have not seen anything. I did the hard reset as well with no success. A friend told me the Main Board needs to be replaced, so I looking for confirmation or any other input.
Hi test the large diodes on the power board these can stop the led from firing up, thanks, ps send me a picture of the power board i'll show you the diodes

Dear Sir, unfortunately tonight you will not be able to watch this TV set. Please try with an alternative solution. This job definitely requires a professional technician Best regards, Arpi

I would take that puppy back to store and get exchanged out. According to lemon law. Let me know what happens. Thank you Jay.

after you make repairs you can remove the 4A AC fuse and jumper a 150W light bulb across it. When set is turned on and no shorts are present, the bulb will glow. If it comes on bright, immediately turn off TV. More work needs to be done. If when Negative lead of VOM is connected to TP3 and the Positive lead to TP7 and with Plug P108 unplugged from power supply panel you have a low ohms reading, be sure to check D20 with one side lifted out of board. It is in series with a small RF choke and will read shorted if not unsoldered.

Yep, your mainboard is damaged.
Replace it and your tv will work again

If the lamp has been replaced I would think the Lamp ballast would be most likliest followed by the color wheel and then the Digital board. You can get any part needed for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com just leave them a email they respond quickly.
